Ranbir Kapoor & Ranveer Singh are superstars - Akshay K.

Akshay Kumar who has been in the industry for many years and has tasted stardom, says Ranbir Kapoor and Ranveer Singh are superstars. He was present at the first look and trailer launch of his upcoming production, FUGLY.

When asked why we don't have a single superstar in the new breed of actors, Akshay said, ''I don't think that's true. There are many good young actors today. We have Ranbir Kapoor and Ranveer Singh. In my mind, they are superstars actually.''

The actor also believes newcomers these days do not need the support of big stars.

''Newcomers don't need support of big stars. When we were newcomers, we needed support. But today's newcomers don't need support. They are very fit and good. They are mentally very balanced. I think they are professionally much better than all of us. They are tech savvy and don't need to be taught. If they need any support, it's from their families.''

Starring Jimmy Shergil, FUGLY is the launch pad for Mohit Marwah, Olympic medalist boxer Vijender Singh, Kiara Advani and Arfi Lamba. It's directed by Kabir Sadanand and is slated to release on 13th June, 2014.

Akki so humble as always.

This is why Akshay Kumar is a true superstar himself. So humble and perfect. In an industry where most leading men are into rivalries and show their insecurities every now and often.. you have Akshay, who calls actors much younger to him "superstars" openly.

And Ranbir totally deserves the title, like I have said many times before. Wish to see Ranbir and Akshay in a film together.
