have you read abt ghenghis khan(akbar's 11th gen back) his wife borte was kidnapped by his opponent and made cocubbine and was there with him for almost a year till ghenghis kahn defeated and killed him and got borte back. Dring this time ghenghis kahn wife borte gave birth to a baby boy(most probabbly that captors) but ghenghis khan married her and gave his name to that baby boy and even gave him 1/4th of kingdom and if not for opposition by his 2nd son he would have been madenext emperor. His 3rd and 4th sons had no issue with big brother becoming emperor only 2nd one made a big issue of it. So akbar just foll forefather's policy in serial not sure abt real akbar
