Prachi's 'real' look

Prachi Desai, a teenager now playing a mother in Kasamh Se after a generation leap, has a surprise for viewers. The actress will now make a special appearance in Kasautii Zindagi Kay. Fortunately for her, she plays a schoolgirl and the character is also called Prachi Desai.

An excited Prachi says, "I am very busy with Kasamh Se, so when I was approached for the role, I was in two minds. But when I heard that I will be playing a schoolgirl, I was really excited about the role as I will be playing myself."

In Kasautii..., Prerna (played by Shweta Tiwari) is in charge of a school. She does not like the girls of her school interacting with boys, as she has been betrayed in love.

Prachi says, "My role is that of a student in Prerna's school. Prachi will run away with her boyfriend. This shocks the bitter Prerna, who is in charge of the school."

The actress still hates the idea of playing a mother. "Kasamh Se is doing great and this show has given me

everything. Being a teenager, I can't identify with a mother. But, I think personal and professional life should be kept apart. I am extremely happy playing a teenager in Kasautii…," Prachi says.

Her portrayal of Bani has been extremely popular with family audiences. Recently, the actress got the award of Pride of Gujrat from the association of Indians in New York. "I visited the US with my mother. I am really touched by the response I get from the Indians staying abroad," she adds.
