As Kalpana found a quiet corner in the Kapoors's home attempting to complete the mathematics problem for a friend who was three grades senior to her in school. She found difficulty as she was not familiar with equations as she has not received lessons in that aspect as yet. Kalpana kept pondering on how she would find the solution, and her mum had warned her against going to Paakhi's tutor to request assistance. Unknown to them the entire conversation was over-heard by non-other than Raghav, who was at the time still being held somewhat like a captive at the Kapoor's residence. He once again stood in awe of Kalpana, her strength, her perseverance and will. He decided that he will be the one that will be her guardian angel, and come to her rescue whenever she was in need. He watched her struggling, trying to figure out what she was missing, when she heard a voice "You could request assistance from me!" said Raghav. She stared at him blankly, then after a short while sweetly asked "Could you please assist me, I am struggling with this problem for so long, and aai has refused to allow me to ask Paakhi's tutor" Raghav smiled and said "I will surely help you, but on one condition" Kalpi was confused "what condition?" Sweet Raghav said "If ever you are in a predicament, come to me, I will help you!"
Kalpi smiled and accepted his condition. From that day they both became good friends. Paakhi was not impressed with their friendship and understanding. A few month later, Raghav overheard the Kapoor's talking about how they will soon take over all of Raghav's property and business. He was devastated, he always knew that they had ulterior motives but he could not be certain. Raghav went to Kalpi with this information, and told her that he considers her a good friend and wants advice and help from her. She listened to all that he had to say, and being naive and young, she amazingly understood the depth and seriousness of the issue. She told him he needs to leave, and he needs to work on making himself a success. When he has achieved that, he can return and take the Kapoor's on for the downfall of his late father.
