4April14 - Random Observations

I liked the episode in bits and pieces. I am only going to talk about the characters and there is one character who caught my attention. So I will talk about that character first and then will go to the others...

Neeranjan- When Neeranjan asked what is going on a small bit of his rattling snake like music was played in the background. Later on when Astha directly tells everyone openly that Aditi is an imposter and that she will prove it to everyone, Neeranjan shocked. His expression was very interesting here. It was as if he is shocked that Astha has worked it out and she is not going to stop. When Varad was carrying Aditi and rushing her to the hospital, Neeranjan stopped them from going to the hospital and later told the doctor that this incident should not come out. He is trying to avoid police involvement. Now it is possible that he is doing it to save his own image but if he is the one who is behind all this then will he want police to be involved? Based on all this my hunch on Neernjan has got stronger. But why is he doing all this?

Few days back I had written what I could see as Neeranjan's plan. Of course this are just my thoughts based on what has been shown until now and I may not be right. I somehow feel that Neeranjan's aim is the destruction of Astha and he is using Shloke to destroy her. It is quite similar to how he destroyed Avdhut's pride by making him sign the document and he did use Astha for that purpose. Neeranjan likes to own souls of people and by using Shloke to destroy Astha, he is planning to own her soul. He went after Avdhut because Avdhut was refusing to play his games and did stand his ground. Avdhut supported Astha and said no to the initial marriage proposal and he also refused to sign the land deal. With Astha his alarm got activated when he saw feelings and emotions towards Astha in Shloke's eyes. Shloke had told his father that is not possible for him to love again and that his father is everything to him. Shloke falling for Astha is not something that Neernajan will like. The second time alarm bells went off was when Anjali went against what she has been taught to do and she broke her fast because Astha convinced her to do so. Neeranjan will not like Shloke and Anjali to get out of his control and he will fight tooth and nail for them. That night he also told Anjali that relationships should be broken if they become tiresome. Most probably he meant Shloke and Astha's relationship...and I am guessing the emotional bond.

Shloke's past was used so that Astha can be emotionally manipulated. She is already in love with Shloke and being a soft hearted person chances are there that she will fall for him more if she gets a glimpse of Shloke's tormented soul. Neeranjan is also aware that whatever happens Shoke will not tell Astha what has happened in the past and he told Anjali that Shloke will know how to manage the situation. But unknown to Neernajan Shloke has been pushed quite well by Astha. Then he sent Astha and Aditi with Shloke and also told Anjali to tell Astha to pay attention to Aditi and not to just concentrate on having fun...to me it translated to keep away from Shloke so that Shloke does not develop feelings. He knew that things might prop up and he was confident that Shloke will take care of it but he got a shock of his life when Shloke got injured. When Shloke returned Neeranjan held Kavya's hands and walked away leaving his prized guest alone near the doorway. I thought that all these instances will be used some way to prove to Shloke that Astha was doing all this to get his attention and that might result in Shloke lashing back at Astha. I did not consider the Neeranjan factor. It seems that all these are being used to point it to Shloke that Astha is doing all this dramas and the person who is getting harmed the most is Neernajan. They are constantly repeating the dialogue that insulting Aditi or Ajnkya is like insulting Neeranjan. The result of the first confrontation was Shloke lashing at Astha that he does not care whether she stays or not and this time it is owing to be that she is an outsider and that he will destroy anyone including himself if his father is hurt. To me all of this is pointing to destruction of Astha through Shloke.

When the episode started and Ajinkya came in, he was throwing weird looks at Aditi. Is he afraid of her or is checking her expression because he has some plans. Then when the wallet dropped and Astha was gazing at the photograph, Ajinkya did not say anything. Aditi was a bit confused ...Ajinkya was uncomfortable but he just sat there. Anyway I could not understand whether he was scared of Aditi or whether he wanted Astha to see the photograph.

Anjali- Along with protecting asth and other members of the family (specially Shloke because Astha is his wife), the reason why anjali did not tell neeranjan regarding what has happened before was that she also wanted to protect her own skin. Anjali and Shloke are supposed to be controlling Astha but here the opposite happened and she knew that Neeranjan will be furious and they will have to pay. Despite Neeranjan telling Anjali not to let Ajinkya and Aditi know about the divorce, Anjali today let the secret out in front of the so called guests. She was very rude to Astha and refered to her as a third person but why did she say it. Is it to make the person do all this stuff because Astha is in any case leaving...Or was it meant to be a challenge for Astha,...that why is she fighting for the truth, when she will be soon leaving? Also when Neeranjan told Ajnkya that he will now have to stay for a much longer time, from Anjali's reaction it looked as if she was not happy.

Astha- Well Astha was true to form. She is not a person who makes careful plans and when she is stressed then whatever notions she has regarding plans flies out of the window. After finding out that the childhood picture of Aditi is not that of the Aditi whom she knows, she should have kept quiet and used that information later on. Now she has landed in trouble but by bringing this issue out in the open, she has got to know that Ajinkya is most probably involved (she can stop wasting her time trying to get information regarding Aditi from Ajinkya). If Neeranjan is involved which to me he is then he is now also aware that Astha will not be silenced that easily, so he should take some steps to control her. Usually plans of controlling her are successful in the beginning but it soon backfires on him. Anjali also pointed to her directly that she will have to make a decision...what is the use of doing all this if she will not stay. If Kalindi challenges Shloke to so that he daughter is protected then it looks like that Anjali challenges Astha also for her own child. Astha is expecting everyone to believe her...but why should they. They don't even stand up for their daughter, so why will they stand up for a DIL? Anyway reason for not standing up for Jyoti is the same as reason for not standing up for Astha...Neeranjan. Everyone is the family is protective about Neeranjan's ego, as if it is even more precious than Kohinoor. Also in times of stress when a person has to choose between something new and something old...however bad the old is, a person will usually chose something that is old and known. Anyway coming back to Astha, I liked how Sojal left her issues and came to see the old photographs...if only her insecurity is taken care of she will be ok. Astha aslo did not back down when Neeranjan told her that by insulting Ajinky she is insulting him. She looked staright back at Neeranjan and went on her charges...to her truth and protecing someone's life is more important than somone's hollow ego.

Shloke-When Aditi told Neeranjan that Astha has insulted her before, Shloke looked down. After all it is his wife who has done this and harmed his father's reputation and he shouted at her to stop all this. Shloke will not accept that his father is wrong because that will mean that he is wrong. That will show that he was wrong in judging his father. Later on after Aditi did all that drama regarding poison although he was angry at Astha but he did not leave her alone. In Aditi's room he stood where Astha was standing and when Anjali lashed at her regarding divorce, he changed the topic and told everyone that it is time to leave.

PS- Aditi is really not clever as she thinks herself to be. If she was then she should have found out that Astha and Shloke are on the verge of being divorced. Any intelligent person will make sure that all the bases are covered before going for the attack. This shows that she is an over confident fool who is only successful because of two reasons...Astha is letting her win and people in this house will not go against Neeranjan. Something big has to happen for them to even think about it. It is not about Aditi defeating Astha but Astha due to her own nature letting Aditi win for the time being. If Aditi is not Ajinkya's daughter and she has been chosen by Neeranjan it looks like he is going to be hurt by his own game...Aditi is after Shloke and most probably Neeranjan is not aware of it. Or even if he is then he thinks that Shloke can take care of himself...after all according to Neeranjan his son can cheat death to be with him. If Aditi is not Ajinkya's daughter it does not mean that Ajinkya and Neeranjan will not treat her well...if she is of use and someone who is like a daughter, then why will they not be gentle towards her? Few weeks back they had shown a scene ...this happened after they found out that it is Aditi who sleep walks at night and the next day Neernajan came to talk to Aditi...while he was talking to Aditi his trademark manipulation music was being played in the background but it was a more gentler version and the crescendo built up when Neeranjan was talking to Astha. So even if Aditi is being used, the manipulation used on her is much gentler than what is being used on Astha. Also today Neernajan was panicking when Aditi consumed the poison. So maybe even if he is using her, he does not want to harm her.
