The Other Day!

Part-2:

Speak low if you speak love!

She turned the pages and more.

"Why, I-"

He looked at her; she extended the diary to him.

He leaned forward in his chair and took the diary from her.

He looked down at the page.

At the dead center of the page, a slit had been cut neatly, up to the last page of the diary.

In the pit of the slit a black 'pen- drive' was sitting safely, like a devil!

He phoned her.

"I've checked everything! They are clean. No document i found there that we can seize!"

"Oh!" She sighed.

"But I think we can trace that person your brother mentioned in his diary still. Can you come to the office this morning?"

"I'd gladly do!"

"They insisted that he was on leave that day and they knew nothing of the events."

"I see!"

"This is the call record of your brother's mobile, which we could never trace back. Here, I have the name and number of the persons, who contacted or were contacted that day before he left for the working site."

She nodded.

"Now I want you to help me trace that person who spoke with your brother."

"But I-"

"Wait! Can you tell me when he made this call?"

"Before, he left- maybe it was twelve O'clock in the noon. His bus was at one O'clock that day! He left the house at twelve thirty. I can't be sure, but it must be between eleven forty five and twelve fifteen!...

"Im sorry! I can't tell more precisely!"

"It's okay. Let's see! Between those times five calls came or went that day!"

He read the names,

"Mr.Manokar Thiripathy

"Mr.Raguram Shieth

Mrs. Kamala Sunder and

Mr.Janardhan Reddy!"

"Yes! Kamala aunty called that day to bid him a good-bye! When I entered into his room he was talking to her, I remember it now!"

"And Mr. Raguram Shieth, the supervisor has got two calls that day from him and placed a call to him later that evening.

"Mr.Janardhan Reddy is the sales manager of the company.

"Mr.Manokar Thiripathy is a marriage assembler. Do you know him?"

"No, I don't!"

"Now, Wait a minute! Did you know that he was on leave that day before he left the house?"

"Why, Yes! He said he was going to take a day-off the next day. And why, he even said that when he got a call, after he talked to aunty!"

"Our man is Mr. Raghuram Shieth!"

"I wanted to thank you for everything you did on this case. Thank you so much!"

"No, that's my duty!"

"I'm going to visit a friend tomorrow, before I'm going to join the "Designer's Fashion World!' "

"Oh, I forgot that! You've gotten a job there, right? All the very best! And convey my regards to your friend!"

He was listening music, when the phone aroused him.

"Hello, Sir! I'm Manokar Thiripathy!"

"You are ..."

"I'm a marriage assembler. Your mother-"

His voice reached him at last and his trance shattered.

"I've already seen the picture! Thank you!"

"But, Sir! One mi-"

He approached her as the conductor did.

She thought he was looking more handsome in a casual outfit.

He said hastily, "Ma'am, the bus is going to move!"

He said hastily," I want to talk to you!"

She turned to face him with a frown.

"Do you know what you are doing?"

"No!"

She looked him a moment keenly and moved away to get her bag from the luggage compartment.
