Sonam Kapoor Miffed with Dippy

What's brewing between Sonam Kapoor and Deepika Padukone? It's certainly something not pleasant for one heard Sonam take a few digs at Deepika and her style sense on Koffee With Karan.

The two actresses who bonded well chatting with Karan Johar on the previous season of his show are apparently no longer on talking terms. Sources claim that the icy war started post KWK episode as Deepika went on to sign a film with Ranbir Kapoor and became good friends with him.

Reportedly, Sonam Kapoor is also ticked off by Deepika's aggressive PR work. Incidentally, both are represented by the same PR agency. It's learnt that the Kapoor girl felt that Dippy used PR to undermine her and to highlight her own brand. Sonam even felt that a lot of stories were planted against her.

Sonam's feelings were apparent when Karan asked her what is the one thing Deepika Padukone has that she doesn't, and pat came reply, "An over enthusiastic PR team."

The Raanjhanaa actress was more kind to Katrina Kaif than Deepika Padukone when talking about the fashion statements made by the two actresses.

When Karan Johar asked her who is Bollywood's leading fashionista, Sonam said, "Amongst the rest Deepika has upped her game because... But that is all thanks to Anaita (Vogue's Creative Head and Deepika's stylist) who is doing a great job with her. Katrina is herself. She does not try to fit into a mould which I respect a lot. She is not trying to become the fashion icon of the century which is really cool. I like the fact that she likes being in jeans and white shirt rather than be on the cover of Vogue every three months!"

Sonam Kapoor even tagged Deepika Padukone as a "Good girl gone bad".

Sonam Kapoor ain't a fashion icon. To do that you need to start a trend.

Sonam was trying to defend herself and her films; which is understandable. But she does not get any mileage out of this one. It just creates a rift between her and Deepika. Deepika has fought hard and worked hard to maintain her visibility. Out if sight, out of mind. She knows that too well. She is not going to give up being aggressive about fulfilling her dream. Sonam should just change her pr and move on.
