The rats at a conference
The two rats are very worried about the curious incident of Jytoi who has managed to vanish without leaving any trace. Abhay rat has been on an excursion and he has visited all the places that Jyoti can be seen but he has returned hone empty handed. Apparently he also went sniffing along the road to Kolhapur to find trace of Jyoti. After returning home he starts wondering whether he should inform his in laws and his aunt advises him against it because his in laws have recently got over their pain regarding the disappearance of their baccha. Has Sulbha suddenly grown a new heart that she is worried about the emotional condition of the Agnihotri's or is it because she is worried that they won't much importance if they give the news of Jyoti's disappearance now? The rat called Abhay pouts and tells his aunt that he will continue his search for Jyoti but then later he will go and tell some sob story to his in laws. For added effect he will shed crocodile tears too. Nowadays I am looking forward to the rats. They are actually more bearable to watch on the screen that the one who should not be named but have to be watched.
Sojal and Varad
Interestingly this scene started with the camera not being focused and everything is slightly hazy on the screen. Slowly the camera focused on a mobile that was ringing loudly and no one was picking it up. Sojal picked it up and Varad snatched the phone from her hand. What's up with Varad? There is something going on with these phone calls that he is receiving. I am not sure whether it is an affair or whether it is something else. Sojal's curiosity increases and when she manages to get her hands on the phone, she realises that there were 15 missed calls. So she decides to take down the number but again gets caught and gets blasted by Varad that she will never improve her behaviour.He probably means poking her nose when it is none of her business. Varad walks off and Sojal is left standing hurt with tears in her eyes. I am just wondering has Varad ever spoke normally to Sojal...I mean without shouting, reprimanding or mocking her. Later on Sojal comes to tell Varad that the food has been served and she sees him talking to someone, so she decides to listen to the conversation...by standing just next to Varad and extending her ears towards Varad. I know Sojal is a bit silly but she was looking very cute here. She again gets a scolding from Varad regarding her being so interested in his conversations and Sojal tells him that she is generally not interested in his conversations but her interest has increased because she has observed him talking to someone very. I wish Sojal pays similar attention to Anjali and the tell-tale signs of abuse that she has observed. If only Sojal gets over this issue she has regarding honeypot and then both honeypot and her get together to solve the mysterious ways of the family...wonder what will be Neeranjan's condition.Anyway after being ignored by Varad, Sojal starts grumbling that she does so much for the family members but in return she does not get anything. Sojal is not wrong, if Anjali and Varad pay a little attention to her and give her some affection, Sojal won't be having as many issues as she is having now. At the end Sojal starts wondering whether Varad is doing hanky panky outside the house.
Baby bear and his honeypot
The scene starts with baby bear with a grumpy face admiring himself in the mirror and honeypot's reflection on the same mirror. Honeypot's inner thoughts regarding baby bear comes out and she says that she does not know when she will see him again. When baby bear turns to leave the room, she runs to him and tells him that he should not go to office because they only have couple of days and in any case when he will be in the office he will miss her so why not spend the time with her (actually later on he does and he runs back home but I will come to that later). So when they will spend time with each other, they can exchange their thoughts and in this way maybe what is there is his heart will come to his lips. I liked both their expressions here...baby bears was "I know what you are up to" and honeypot had a longing look on her face. I also liked honeypot's indirect hint that if he says what is there in his heart then she will also tell him what he wants to know (that what she said to her mother was not true and that she is not going). Now baby bear has got an opportunity so he decides to make full use of it (well he also wants to know something from honeypot) and he decides to apply pressure. So he closes the door which freaks out honeypot and slowly approaches her. Honeypot who is freaking out insists that they can speak while maintaining a distance and she is finally pinned to the wall with baby bear leisurely leaning over her. He explains to her that for him to tell her what is there in his heart, he needs to be very close to her and then leaning against the wall asks her what does she want to hear but since he is very chivalrous (well that added by me😉) he wants the lady to tell him what is there in her first heart and he will listen. This chap will not open his mouth until he is very sure that he won't be hurt again. Honeypot who is corned does not lose her spinal chord and throws back her challenge that she has already told him what was there in her heart and she has also seen in his eyes what he is hiding in his heart. These two are at a cross road...honeypot will not tell him that she won't go until he does not tell her that he cares. In a way I don't blame her. Her heart has been broken by baby bear and she returned mainly to find out why baby bear does not want to give her divorce...so if he does not tell her, even if she knows she won't stay. If she stays back then it has to be other reason ...either Shloke being in danger or to prove that what she is saying is the truth. Anyway they are interrupted by Varad who returns the camera that honeypot left behind at the horse trekking place and tells them both that they are very valuable and that they should take care. After Varad leaves, honeypot wanted to show baby bear the memories that she has captured of their trip and grumpy baby bear storms off. Honeypot is left thinking that now what has happened to baby bear...well she didn't answer the question that he wants her to answer that's why he stormed off. This scene reminded me of a scenes from the past...baby bear leaning on the wall with honeypot stuck to the wall reminded me off the scene when baby bear had cornered her just before declaring to the entire world that he has chosen honeypot as his wife. There he had challenged her that why doesn't she say what is there in her eyes and honeypot's reply was that she won't say anything that will bring pain to her and that until he says anything, she won't say a word. That situation was reversed here. Here it was honeypot challenging Baby bear that she has told him what she has to say but now it is his chance to tell him what is there in his eyes, but he won't say anything that will bring him pain until she tells him that she won't leave him. The earlier impasse was broken by Shloke declaring his intentions and then him stopping Kalindi to talk to honeypot. As a result honeypot came became further influenced by him and did not listen to his mother. Now since they have shown baby bear gulping for air when honeypot had her self-talk under the night's sky regarding not liking Sun God ...will this time the daughter of Sun God (Kalindi) make sure that honeypot gets her security.
Anyway baby bear is in his office and having some very important conversation with his PA (where is the other one? I am missing him) regarding a meeting that honeypot will also have to attend. Baby bear has reached that phase of life where honeypot attending meeting affecting his ego has taken a back seat to honeypot leaving in two days' time and him not spending time with her. So he tells his bewildered PA that all the meetings needs to be cancelled. Wonder what will be baba Neeranjan's reaction to his news? I mean baby bear is leaving behind some very important work that men should do and is running back to his wifey. Anyway baby bear reaches home only to be ordered by Anjali to stop in his tracks because she has to remove the bad sight that has fallen on him (then she should remove the one who should not be named but have to be watched). Why is she wasting her time? Anyway baby bear who was close to shouting at her to stop her nonsense is made to shut up by his mother...well she told him that he has to accept it because his father wants it. I liked honeypot's expression while she was watching all the donations that are happening in baby bear's name when she was also there in the same accident but no one is thinking about her. I felt bad for her. Anyway Anjali does the thingy that she wants to do regarding removing bad intentions and honeypot who was on the verge of coming forward is told by Anjali that she is also included with her husband or indirectly that she as a human being has no identity and that her identity only depends on her husband. But while Anjali was moving that cloth around baby bear's head was looking at honeypot. Wonder whether that was her discrete way of including honeypot too without letting the others know about it. After the pandit leaves Anjali tells honeypot that since after getting married, this is the first time she will be celebrating new year, she will have to do the main pooja. Honeypot nods her head but is left wondering regarding the irony of her life...and she looks at baby bear who also looks back at her. It was interesting to see that there are two people who can make baby bear do stuff that he does not want to do ...his honeypot and his baba. Does his baba know of this competitor that he has acquired? Most probably papa bear will climb in mama bears lap and start wailing.
Honeypot comes back to their room and baby bear stomps in after her. They both exchange a look and why am I getting a feeling that baby bear is silently telling her that "you wanted us to spend time with each other and that's why I have come back from office". Anyway he gulps (baby bear is a bit emotional here but does not know what to do) and he picks up the safest thing that he can find ...to keep his hands occupied... that happens to be a file that he has to study immediately. Honeypot also does not know what to do and she picks up what she thinks is the safest things for her to use to get close to baby bear and share thoughts...the video camera and rushes to show baby bear the pictures. Baby bear looks at her smiling and excited face and gets furious...well he wanted to spend some time with her and she is showing him pictures, so baby bear is a bit grumpy...he does not think that smiles can be used to hide tears and laughter can be used to hide pain...and both can be used to manage a situation where on does not know how to behave. Baby bear is also slightly confused...that one moment she is showing as if she does not want to leave and the next moment she is showing as if she wants to leave... So along with his go being hurt regarding honeypot telling Kalindi that she will leave when she has declared to the entire world that she loves him, it looks that he is also confused. Now if does not know that laughter and smiles can be used to hide pain, then he is not that shrewd. Astha is no different from him...he used anger to keep the world away and to hide his pain, Astha is not keeping the world away because she is using laughter, but she is using it to hide her pain. Anyway baby bear gets very angry that instead of spending time with him she wants to look at the photographs and he storms off.
Adventures of honeypot in the unknown bad lands and Jyoti's protection...
After baby bear leaves honeypot she gets to hear about the one of should not be named but have to be watched's conversation on the handycam and she realises that both her and baby bear has been set up. She remembers all the mishaps and realises that this was all a part of a plan. Honeypot gets furious that someone is trying to play with her family...by the way wonder what will be her reaction when she will get to know that someone inside the family is playing with the family. Anyway honeypot is furious and she marches off to do what she does best...walk into situations without any clear plan and then getting stuck...Usually this means that baby bear will rush in to protect her...let's see whether that happens or not, since it is his baba's friend who is involved here. There is a difference between baby bear and honeypotin the way they do their search...I am not talking about plans but the reason behind their actions. Honeypot is inherently a very curious person and thus her first reaction will be to search for answers and she will not stop until she has got the answers. Her need to find answers also increases exponentially if she think that someone's welfare depends on it...that person may or may not be linked to her. Baby baby goes after things when he thinks that he is being challenged or ridiculed. This need also increases exponentially when he thinks the someone whom he is emotionally attached to is being ridiculed or challenged. Let's see which side he picks and will he change sides on his own or will be forced to. Anyway this rushing without thinking when she has been told repeatedly to think before taking any action is something that is in honeypot's characterisation and this has been used to create this soapy track to get more episodes and to create melodrama which to them means more TRP. So honeypot marches into whodunit's room and charges her...and also slaps her. Whodunit tells her that's she did all this because Honeypot has not business to love Baby bear and right at that moment Jyoti is shown doing pooja and doing a sort of arti. This is usually done to remove any bad influence from the house. Barney walks in and is very happy that now this house looks like a home and not someplace inhabited by ghost. See this is why I like Barney. He correctly recognised whodunit as a ghost that needs to be removed. Anyway in Jyoti's scene Jyoti tells Barney that it is not necessary that one needs to have a temple at home...that Pooja is done with one's mind and if one's mind/heart is clear then God will accept one's offering and that offering can take place anywhere . Now I like Jyoti even more and it is a mystery that how could Jyoti be a product of the Agnihotri's? Maybe some of Anjali's silent thoughts rubbed on her daughter. By the way if Pooja the other sibling is still in this story then where is she? Is she in some ashram or something? Somewhere she is safe where the mind is open? Anyway whodunit refuses to acknowledge that she is Swati and honeypot decides to expose her in front of everyone. By the way throughout this entire conversation reflection of whodunit have been shown on the mirror...it was her frontal view and honeypot's back view. If she does not know Swati then someone is feeding her things about Swati and the mirror shows that there is a mirage somewhere. The insertion of Jyoti's scene here reminded me of another scene...during holi when baby bear refused to be coloured by honeypot, whodunit also went to get some gulal but baby bear left because he had seen Jyoti tai entering the house. That time too Jyoti gave honeypot her protection...baby bear can refuse honeypot but would he have been able to refuse whodunit? She is after all his baba's bestest friend's daughter.
Jyoti and Barney
I decided to end today's thoughts with Jyoti and Barney. I don't know about others but I definitely need nice thoughts before I have my ninnih and that's why I don't want to end the thoughts with whodunit. So Varad refers to both babybear and honeypot as his very valuable possessions but his sister is out of his mind. The same sister is very worried and she is made to eat some food by Barney. Jyoti starts throwing up which panics Barney who wants to call a doctor. Jyoti is staring at him with wonder on her face...most probably this is the first time when someone has panicked just because she has thrown up. She realises that she is holding Barney's arm and she lets it go. She goes back to bed and tells Barney that she will be ok. Jyoti ends up getting worried that Barney is a nice man and that she is hiding things from him...Completely worried and feeling vulnerable she curls up in a foetal position and goes off to sleep. This is such a sweet couple that I want to keep on watching them.
