shiva has always been a favourite god (..angry young man? ;-) ) and RR further pushed me to read more on him..

this is far too interesting and we know they cannot just totally copy...but whatever reflection i see i like it. On a very broad level there were so many similarities with sati story til now.

Tejawat was in many ways a father figure for paro. Rudra for him is his biggest enemy. I loved their face to face in shivratri mela. Rudra asked Paro not to go to Tejawat ... several times, but she did not listen...went with tejawat and then on seeing his true side was disgusted and angry!

I know this story only vaguely but thanks to you, now I know much better.
Shiv-Sati story is such a beautiful and at the same time tragic one. Thank you for the details. Can't wait to know Shiv-Parvati Story.
