Karan Johar launched Mahesh Bhatt's daughter Alia Bhatt and David Dhawan's son Varun Dhawan in Student Of The Year' and now he is keen to launch Sridevi and Boney Kapoor's daughter Jhanvi Kapoor next. Jhanvi takes keen interest in acting and she is polishing herself in the acting department by taking dance lessons and working on her diction.

Karan had a talk with Sridevi and Boney Kapoor and convinced them that it is the right time for Jhanvi to step into Bollywood. But Sridevi who is very possessive about her daughter wants 17-year-old Jhanvi to complete her studies first before taking up acting as her career. Sridevi's daughter Jhanvi is quite a fashionista and she is very often spotted with her mom in hot outfits.

When Sridevi made her comeback with Gauri Shinde English Vinglish', Jhanvi was very excited, Sri was bit confused but her daughter boosts up her confidence and she rocked.

Jhanvi also got few offers from the south film industry but she might make her debut with Hindi movie. "Jhanvi has also has been receiving offers from the South film industry. Producers want her to star opposite Chiranjeevi's son, Ram Charan Teja, and also do a film with Nagarjuna's son, Naga Chaitanya," says the source.

Karan wants Jhanvi to launch opposite a new boy.

Well, it would be really interesting to see how Jhanvi firm her foot in this competitive world of Bollywood.

At least let the girl complete her education. Sri is right in having reservations about launching her daughter at this age. 17 is not the age to step into this industry. Here she will have to deal with critics, wardrobe malfunctions, perverted people with prying eyes, cruel media (even if she doesn't have to face a situation like casting couch). Even if she makes a debut and her performance turns out to be like Alia's, she would not be spared by the critics, media or even the audience. What makes KJo think this is the right age for showbiz?

If she wants to face the camera, she should at least wait for 2-3 years and complete her education. In these 2-3 years, the girl should polish her acting skills, dancing skills and learn a thing or two about this unkind industry. She would not only be ready to face the camera but also the world by then. So why this hurry to push her into films at such a tender age? Let her enjoy a peaceful life while she can. She will cherish it once she becomes a public figure.
