I liked astitva too...simran was one educated and emancipated woman who handled life's problems wid grace

Yes totally..😃

I have fond memories of Tu Tu main main😳

Gayathri, see Kora Kagaz. It is about a woman who stands up and says no when her in laws especially her MIL ask her to compromise with her prodigal son who has an affair and does not want anything to do with his wife. Superb portrayal by everyone and a revolutionary concept😊

You know, I really miss the serials from Balachander. His ideas may be a little too much at times but he did portray women strongly, showed us that there is nothing wrong in being different and not accept the norms of the society just for the heck of it..

There was this serial where the protagonist is checkmated to marry an older man. The way she gets even with the people who emotionally blackmailed her into that spot was awesome. Amazing screenplay. ⭐️ Sometimes I wish we could go back to those times when things was not all about the submissive woman. It used to be different.

Today girls read and get a degree, they go to college and work. 10-20 years back, only a few women did that. I think it was a novelty then to see these women stand up to themselves.

Now that women do something similar in real life, reel is taking us back 20 steps

Harini, as I saw your post, I found KOra Kagaz on you tube. lol... Thanks a lot for that.. I will definitely watch... You know Star classics has uploaded all old serials which is amazing.. so of the new lots I only watch Saathiya and BALH, other than this I am watching old ones..
Balchander you mean the south movie director ? Old ones were the best really... yes I agree with you.. they did not know much but still they were stronger...😃
