Dilip Kumar returns Bachchans' olive branch

After Shatrughan Sinha, it's the veteran actor who is miffed with Amitabh and Jaya for not inviting him to the AbhiAsh wedding This Is Not Done: Dilip Kumar When Amitabh Bachchan didn't invite several high profile members of the film fraternity to Abhishek and Aishwarya's wedding, some voiced their displeasure while others chose to graciously accept the letter of regret and mithai a few days after the event. However, some like Shatrughan Sinha chose not to accept even that token from the Bachchans. Now, we hear several other personalities too have snubbed this offering. Gracious note Says a source, "Dilip Kumar is very upset at not being invited to the wedding, and has returned the mithai and letter from the Bachchans. The buzz is that even Rajesh Khanna has returned the mithai and card. But Khanna refutes the rumour saying, "I am not a rude man. If a person doesn't wish to invite me to his son's wedding, that's his discretion. But my good wishes will always be with the couple. Abhishek is like a son to me. I wrote a letter thanking them and giving them my blessings. If they wanted to have a quiet wedding, that's their choice." Didn't he find it strange that they invited former wife Dimple Kapadia and daughter Rinke, but not Twinkle and her husband Akshay Kumar? "Not at all. My daughter Rinke and Shweta are the best of friends. I am not upset at all. My sincere prayer is that the couple should lead a happy married life." The Oberois: Upholding their dignity Letting Bygones Be Bygones: Suresh Oberoi and Vivek Oberoi Interestingly, Suresh Oberoi and his family have not only accepted the much-maligned package from the Bachchans, but have also sent a letter blessing the couple. "It was a very dignified gesture, considering that barely a year ago Viveik and Ash were romantically involved," says a source.

Whatever did AB do to mid day...he should have sent then the mithai first...

But I can imagine the scenes at AB's house...Amitabh and Jaya fighting..." I told you ...how could you have forgetten him" ... 😆 😆

men this is too much, why are people still stuck abt who mr.bachchan and his family invite... well did rajesh khanna invite the bachchans for their daughter weddings? i dont think so... then the media dint make a big thing abt it, but no.. its ab.jr wedding and here they make it a big issue.... so stupid 😡

I am not angry anyway...the Bachchans didnt do anything wrong-its not mandatory to invite everyone in the industry...Some ppl are getting irritable...always targetting mr bachchan

true..even the toothbrush the Bachchans use the media makes a fuss around it🤢Just leave them alone

You know, Madhuri Nene (whom I really like by the way) married a younger man, told nobody in the industry about her upcoming wedding, had a private family ceremony and then just called everyone for the reception. She got no flak from the media or anyone else. On the contrary, there was an admiring editorial in TOI (a lead editorial mind you) where the editor sighed that he wish he knew Madhuri's brother so that he too had a chance at marrying her!

Here poor Ash gets grief for marrying a younger man, there is endless discussion on the guest list and everyone including Shobha De (bleh) thinks that Bachchan is public property so he has no right to a private life or a private function.

Kajol can do it, Hrithik can do it, Twinkle can do it. Only Abhi cannot have a small affair.

All the bullshit of the media is disgusting !

Few remember SRK was Kajol's best friend and he was NOT invited to her wedding ......and there was hardly any notice of that or made out into a political uproar....🤢

Shah Rukh was invited to the Mehendi and the Sangeet on held at Kajol's residence. He did not come to the wedding as Ajay Devgan and he do not get that well along.

Because they are Bachchans thats why. Amitabh is a big name. So come on there will be a fuss.

Shah Rukh, Kajol and the others are not that big enough to make a fuss out of their personal life.
