Television stars Gurmeet Choudhary and Drashti Dhami, who starred together in hit serial Geet - Hui Sabse Parayi', have been voted as the hottest on-screen couple of all time on Indian TV. Fans around the world voted via social networking sites for a poll conducted by UK based newspaper Eastern Eye.

"Even though the show ended in 2011, fans showed they hadn't forgotten the magic generated by Gurmeet and Drashti by voting in force for them. Many of the fans who voted are hoping they will reunite in another serial," said Eastern Eye entertainment editor Asjad Nazir, who put the poll together.

They beat hot favourites Sanaya Irani and Barun Sobti's characters from Iss Pyaar Ko Kya Naam Doon?', who came second in the list. The big surprise was Vrushika Mehta and Shantanu Maheshwari from teen serial Dil Dosti Dance', who saw off competition from established names to come third in the list.

Actor Karan Tacker's pairing with Yashashri Masurkar in Rang Badalti Odhani' came in fifth and his pairing with Krystle D'Souza from Ek Hazaaron Mein Meri Behna Hai' was placed ninth on the list.

Even though Karan Singh Grover has left Qubool Hai', his pairing with Surbhi Jyoti from the Muslim drama came in at number 12.

Others in the top 20 list include Rithvik Dhanjani and Asha Negi from Pavitra Rishta' (6), Rubina Dilaik and Avinash Sachdev from Chotti Bahu' (14), Nia Sharma and Kushal Tandon from Ek Hazaaron Mein Meri Behna Hai' (15), Preetika Rao and Harshad Arora from Beintehaa' (17), Soumya Seth and Shaheer Sheikh from Navya..Naye Dhadkan Naye Sawaal' (20).

Yipppee... Congo arvians and ashvikians... I hope few people will undestand now, which couple was the best in 2nd generation (after 1st leap)...

Congrats ArVians - I consider this a HUGE achievement for two reasons:

1. CVs had been butchering ArVi badly since 2012 end and many people didn't even consider them leads but kept taunting us about it.
2. Before us fans are blamed for being jobless, delusional and more, might wanna remind that we couldn't even vote much for this poll because it was at the same time as NB finale voting.

so it's quite impressive that we've come to number 6 inspite of all this!

Imagine if never butchered their story then what will be happen. I am 100% sure they get at least top 3.
