Symbolism of locket- Addressing Sandhya's inner most fear

If you take the discussion she had with Sooraj it is to address her inner most fear. Now what is Sandhya's inner most fear. I mean the fear in her unconscious we can say as she has also not completely recognized it. But it exists. Her actions speak about that unconscious fear.

Now what is that unconscious fear. That fear is losing Sooraj. Sandhya is a teenager who suffered a deep trauma of unexpectedly losing her parents. Her parents had loved and cherished their daughter. They had supported her wishes , her dreams and were always there for her. But after their death every other relation has used her. Used her caring nature for their selfish gains.

If there was one person post her parents death who cherished her for what she is was Sooraj. He loved her when she didnt love him. He didnt made any demands to her. He was the person for whom her smile made his day. Sooraj was the person who bought alive the robot that Sandhya became post her parents death. It was his unconditional love that made the weathered plant that Sandhya was blossom again.

But even when he loved her Sandhya always feared losing him. His connect to Bhabo and family somehow made her understand that Sooraj was for family. If she doesnt take care of his family well she might end up losing him. And Bhabo has not spared a single occasion to drill this fear more and more into her mind. It was like if Bhabo is not kept happy Sooraj will not be happy.

This is the unconscious fear that makes Sandhya bend to all of Bhabo's unreasonable demands. yes she respects and loves Bhabo-Babasa as her own parents, but her unconscious always gives her the warning that how much ever she cares she is still DIL for Bhabo and at any point of time Bhabo has the power to take Sooraj from her.

All her struggles are infact to keep that one person who loves her unconditionally with her.

She not finding the locket at the time of jumping was the symbolism of her unconscious fear that Sooraj may not be there with her in situations when she needs him the most that means the risky situation and her trying to open that parachute is her struggle she need to take for being with Sooraj.

But once the parachute opens and the locket in the parachute was the symbolism that her worry was not needed. She didnt had to struggle or lose confidence in any situation. Even in sitautions which she thinks he will not be there and she needs to struggle he will be there. Sooraj cannot be seperated from Sandhya.

That locket in the parachute was the indication to Sandhya that no force in the universe including Bhabo can take Sooraj from her. He will be there with her always to hold her no matter what. 😃

@Ami how that locket came from Sandhya's neck to parachute is as much mysterious to me just the way I couldnt never unlock the mystery on how I passed the 5th sem digital lab exam. I had thought back several times the moment in the lab. I have dissected and dissected the incidents several times. Believe me there was no logical way I could explain to any bystander yes I drew the circuit diagram of something which I didnt know. I had taken that question paper and told my madam I will write supply and I do not have any clue the question in the hand. She asked me to go and stand at my place and think. Then some incidents which doesnt have any logical way of happening happened. Even I think sometimes was it the prayer of the girl to whom I gave the first paper I took as she too took it from other end. That question was easy. When I came out of the lab she was the first one who came and took my hand and asked " will you clear the exam. I was praying. Because I am sure whatever question you had got, if I got I dont stand a chance. I will pass the exam because of you." Yes that question was really really tough and perplexing and my clearing that was a miracle in itself. So Ami sometimes we have to trust in the process. There are several things in the universe to which science is yet to find answers.

Difference between subconscious and unconscious. I will try to explain. But I guess the book " Blink" is the best one to explain this beautifully. Subconscious we are aware of. Those little questions that comes once in a while. Those inner battles we fight. It is all that of conscious Vs subconscious. If we can rationally explain any of our decisions it is taken by conscious mind consulting subconscious. You are aware of the information processed

But think about decisions which you cannot explain rationally. You say you feel. Predictions for example. Something which you dont know from where it is coming. But just that you know this is what is gonna happen. Unconscious is our best friend and worst enemy. Mind control is controlling the unconscious if you have any irrational fears understand that it is coming from unconscious. If you are able to predict, analyze, and your decisions based on instincts are on your favour understand that your potential to tap the strenght of your unconscious is great and with practice focussing, concentrating you can tap its greater potential.

- Conquering your innermost fear is stressed multiple times for sky diving task. First by Sirjee, then by Sandhya to Sooraj. I dont think for any adventure sport conquering of fear needs to be stressed.

- Talk of Arvind Kothari and Sandhya during seperation talk where Arvind Kothari asks his daughter to trust her husband completely. He tells her no matter what he knows and understands you, he will support you always. So be a complete support to your support. In other words Arvind Kothari was asking Sandhya to accept Sooraj completely with body, mind and soul. In that convo she tells , she wants to trust but.. then Arvind Kothari says but you are afraid. You are still afraid to trust him and follow him completely. You have to conquer this fear only then you will be successful.

Sandhya after that talk did take baby steps in the trusting part, but her fear still existed in her unconscious. CVs never go wrong with symbolisms. They def know what they are showing. Atleast till date whatever symbolisms I have been able to uncode in DABH the end result was as expected.
