Raj meets Rani and tells her that he thought he understood her very well but he was wrong, as he wasn't able to understand that she was hiding a big thing from him. He tells her that she made a huge sacrifice for his family by taking the blame of Saloni's mistake on herself. Rani tells him that she asked Saloni not to say anything. Just then, Saloni comes in front of her and tells her that she can't bear to see her getting punished for something she didn't do and tells her that she would confess the truth in court but Rani tells her not to, as she would be spoiling her future. She gives her and Raj her 'kasam'. Raj and Saloni look at each other helplessly.
Rani's sister and brother-in-law assure Yash that everything will be all right and that Rani would be released soon.
Surekha and Rajendra meet Rani. Surekha asks her as to why didn't she tell them anything about Saloni before, as she would have been able to do something. She tells her that because of her she is not able to meet people's eyes, not even hers. She tells her that she was so happy when she got Raj married to her, as she thought that she would bring riches along with her but when she discovered that she didn't bring a single penny, she starting hating her. She tells her that she insulted her and cursed her all the time and even tried to separate her from Raj but she never said anything. She asks her as to why did she take the blame of Saloni's mistakes upon herself. She asks her as to why did she make a big sacrifice for the family from whom she didn't get love and respect. She tells her that she was blinded by selfishness and was not able to see her goodness. Rani and Surekha start crying. Surekha tells her that she wants to give her the love of a mother from now on. She pleads her to forgive her and call her 'Maa'. Rani does and Surekha is delighted. She then tells her that God would definitely create a miracle at the court hearing.
Raj, Surekha, and Rajendra speak to the lawyer before the hearing. The lawyer tells them that he sees no hope in Rani's case and that he has a feeling that they would lose it. He tells them that there may be a possibility for Rani to be imprisoned for life. They are shocked. Surekha begs him to do something.
At the hearing, the opposition lawyer asks the judge to punish Rani for her crime. The judge asks her whether she has anything to say in her defense. Rani tells him that she accepts 'her crime'. The judge is about to announce his decision when Surekha stops him. Everyone looks at her.
