My apologies Freudian slip I meant surrender I badly wanted to sleep so ended up typing that I have also corrected it in my firs post as well
He surrenders to her if you ascribe to Shaktism I so wish that Meself was still writing posts she had a fantastic way of connecting the Divine to the human face of RR and her knowledge of Shaivism was incredible I am a rookie and although born Hindu more of a generic but very strong believer in a spiritual Higher Power without religious connotations of faith I draw my inner strength with my HP in the form of Ardhanarishwar half male half female masculine/femine energy the yin and yang of life/Allah's teachings and the Prayer of St Francis - make me an instrument of your peace powerful words and affirmations that comfort me so my knowledge is rather general
Wonderful post as always and you see more than I do and loved the opening lines of your post of a father so apt
Now I don't know how much of the divinity of Parvati is going to be translated into a daily soap subject to TRP but from what I know She is the Goddess of Power and without her Lord Shiva remains as a corpse She is someone whose anger when it reaches peak capable of destroying the cosmic universe As per literature Even the Trinity of Brahma Vishnu and Shiva never try to make her angry at any cost
In classical Hindu mythology, the "raison d'tre" of Parvati, and before that of Sati, is to lure Shiva into marriage and thus into a wider circle of worldly affairs- now this is applicable to RR since he assiduously avoids marriage and family
Parvati under went severe penances so that she could make Shiva still mourning the death of his Sati fall in love with her Now in RR context I think Rudra might be mourning the loss of Paro as he knew and loved her in his mind read Sati and maybe this new avatar is someone he will not recognize or acknowledge Now question is RR then going to be all about her trying to please appease and mollify him and the people around him or will it be her guilt ridden conscience trying to set things right for him which I cannot fathom as she is the biggest victim having lost every person in the world at the moment In the real world she must be suffering from depression and PTSD considering the magnitude of her grief of loss and betrayal of trust by a Father figure which as you rightly pointed out in the opening of your post We all look for such qualities in our prospective partners as well and feel pleased when found
I hope the creatives are not going to wash that down the drain and turn her into some ever penitent and contrite sort of FL but then again it looks like she is coming out strong and courageous so probably they may use that aspect
I do wish they don't mix the divine and the kitsch muddling it with Othello when telling a tale but keep it simple so no expectations
Got to hand it to Tarun and you know why FLH came out of her banishment to mourn He has such an incredible screen presence and attitude both off and on screen A natural born actor I think he is going on the lam for a while and not behind bars so there will be more delightful moments to look forward to
Sanaya must be quite a master at wielding the danda now She was in her element yesterday in all the emotional parts and I am so looking forward to the walloping and pasting she is going to give him A very different avatar of SI and Paro and one I welcome
Gosh how quickly they got rid of the MU's of her Now I am hoping they will do the same when it comes to his I wish this time the ML is shown reflecting back on her actions during the time she spent with him as his captive and use that as a base I do understand this is a soap and MU is good to extend scenes How long are they planning on keeping Dilsher in a coma is the big ask and when he does come out will he support or condemn her Will she have to rebuild relationships again? Already done once elsewhere
He is in love but probably banished that feeling after this fiasco She will fall in love and show it an all aspects first I am fine with it as long as they don't show the FL going overboard in all her actions to pander to her man
I guess as long as his rudraksha is with her she will find herself feeling protected so probably in such scenes he will not come to her rescue and once when she gives it back he goes back to the role of her protector
I need to go out and do some retail therapy too much analysis over fictional characters 😆
Thanks Swathi ... awesome take 👏 I don't know too much of the Shiva Parvati tales either ... just the basics of Shiva-Sati-Parvati ... am missing Meself too, she was a fount of information on Shaivism and expert at relating them to the Rudra Parvati story.
We were given a hint about the death of the old Parvati by Paro's words to Rukmini, so I was expecting ... or rather hoping for something on these lines ... but was keeping my hopes low because of previous experience with the way Paro's side of the story has been treated. So I am a very happy camper ... this was very much needed, imo ... this was the end of Sati, as she sees the treachery of her father Daksha ... Though can't relate it completely, because Sati was in love with Shiva too ... and Paro is not ... or not consciously.
The question is where do they go from here? Ideally there should be a period of separation ... where Parvati is reborn ... maybe goes back to Mala and maamisa in Tejawat's absence ... after giving evidence to the BSD ... but TRPs might not allow that. So the cvs have to find a plausible way for Rudra and Paro to be brought back together.
Parvati's penance for Shiva was long, and he tested her many times during it ... but she stayed strong ... the new Parvati should be a far stronger one than the old one.
Interesting that FL MUs dont' seem to find sympathy in the audience ... TRP aunties obviously want a crying penitent female lead, not an obstinate, firm one ... nor do they want a weeping male lead, they prefer a harsh strong one. Lets see if the role reversal works ... most of all, I want the cvs to stick to their story as far as they can.
Tarun was great ... his expressions were spot on, so was his voice modulation ... he was meant to convey a man living in the past, a megalomaniac, or slightly unhinged, that's how he came across ... and Sanaya was equally good, her expressions changing from fear to horror to disgust to anger as the full extent of his treachery comes out ... loved the anger at the end! 😆 It was a true waking up for Paro ... as she slowly remembered all the instances Rudra had spoken about, asked all the questions ... must give it to Thakur's patience to answer them all 😆
For now, I want her to escape on her own ... I think Rudra will be summoned to hospital midway and Paro will have to manage on her own ... waiting for tonight!
