Gopi is not committing to anything because she herself is hurt, she thinks no one care about her.

I think Gopi should take a long hard look at what she wants to do. She should not be emotional and decide to sacrifice herself and her dignity again. High time she started to be a little selfish for herself and for her daughters

👏 Well said Harini. Gopi needs to be a role model to her daughters. Nobody, including her daughters, will thank her in the long run.

Xari, remember when Meera was born, you predicted that she would find Rashi more 'cool' than her own mother and probably will be swayed by that?

I think this time around, Vidya is more like Rashi than Gopi. She does not take any slight lying down. I wonder how Gopi imbibed that in the little kid. 😊

And while I like the fact that Gopi has a way of dealing with children, she needs to stop crying and start being strong, polite but strong. If she keeps silent and if Vidya has to come to her rescue everytime, what does it say about the situation?

Tolu molu behaviour was probably down to being spoilt and none of the elders remanding them except rashi from time to time, Hetal only shout at them when defending Radha. Had gopi not intervened they would have turned into kinjal as they got older.

I also wonder how vidya became so tough and not take any nonsense from anyone.

I remember saying that 😃 or words to that effect,. 😆 If Gopi continues being the doormat she is then I fear that Vidya will lose all respect for her. It's painful when your mother is hurting but refuses to do anything constructive. Vid ya can only try for so long. I think in the eight years apart Gopi was able to be her own person. Reflected the goodness of her character towards others and was loving but firm with the children. Look how quickly she won over Sahir and Sameer. I think Vidya was destined for that personality. If you see Gauri/Meera she is another Gopi in the making. Perhaps nature vs nurture is the crux.

I think it is because she grew up alone, without anyone but her mother to call her own. Vidya probably saw her mother stand alone for herself. It is tough being a single mom in a small city. Vidya grew up with that surrounding her.
She has grown up seeing her mother struggle alone and look after her. She is hence possessive and protective of the only relation she has known till now..

On the other hand, Gauri is in a worse situation. Yet, like the young Gopi, she seems to be timid and non confrontational.. Nature does have a role to play in the way the children grow up. .Vidya is more like Ahem and Gauri is more like Gopi. Two daughters are very different to each other..😊
