It always bugs me that they make big deal out of daughters working. In maayka, the father wants to donate his kidney but he doesn't want his daughters to work. Pop here doesn't want his daughter to work because they all have a misguided sense of honor. I have been working since i was 17 and i come from a conservative fammily. It is fine with them, they actually encourage us to work. is it a norm in india these days. i really have no idea becauase i don't live there. i hope it is not true. i hope india is more liberal than it was the last time i was there
