Vijey, first, thanks for sharing your experience.
You don't have to apologize for anything Most of us here have complained about the show before so its nothing new. When our favorites were eliminated, we complained and cringed and vowed to never watch the show or vote. But we're back here. Now we know about what goes on behind the scenes. Your other post was an interesting read. Honestly, it was getting boring around here so appreciate your post and honest views.

Many of the previous II contestants can't say the same things you did so I admire you for coming forth and being honest about the show and auditions. 😊 Takes a lot of guts especially since people from the channel do visit the forum.

But like others said, people who wanna become singers see these shows as a way to make their dreams come true. Such politics, manipulation and games exist in almost every industry. We can't stop living. Other music shows humiliate ousted contestants as well. AI is by far the rudest. This season, A girl said her boss was responsible for her auditioning on AI. He financed the entire trip to th AI auditions. Simon asked her if she was sleeping with her boss. 🤢

I really hope they do not manipulated your audition and footage. You're a trained singer, correct? You sang well so it would be hard for them. Did you audition for any other music shows? Good luck in your future music endeavors. I was really looking fwd to the show but lately, haven't been all that much. After the initial hype, the excitement just died down. I'll still watch it but just hope I don't become such a crazy forum and show addict like last season. I hope I've learned my lesson.

This is mostly related to hunger for entertainment!

Its none of ur fault that u can't boycott such fake show inspite of knowing that its destroying lives of the genuine artists!

You guys receieve a lot of entertainment bcoz of show's packaging n presentation.

N its ur right so such shows will go on...

It would be nice to hear from there side as well!

I would like a reply from their side as well.

If they put there side then we'll know more about why such things take place.

BTW thank for the praise...

I disagree to some extent. Its not just related for hunger for entertainment and drama. At least not for everyone. Some of us really watch the show for the music with some little drama btw judges. Thats the entertainment we crave or at least, hope for. If we watched it just for entertainment, we wouldn't support contestants the way we do, even after the show ends. You can see the fan clubs of many former contestants here. If we watched it just for 'hunger for entertainment', we wouldn't give a damn once the show and entertainment was over.

For some contestants, the show does help. At least for the ones who make it far. Whether or not they are the most talented is another debate. Would Praju, Abhijeet, Amit Sana, Rahul V have been as successful without Indian Idol? Did the show really ruin their lives? Hard to say cos we don't talk to them personally. Like anything in life, the show has its pros and cons. We know SONY and the Media play games. But such games and politics happen everywhere. What we can do is become a little smarter and not let such shows rule our lives or spend too much money voting. But the show presents what people crave. The packaging/presentation/glitz/glamor is what people want to see. Hopefully this season will be different but judging by your experience, it doesn't seem the case.

Even though you went through the audition experience already, you are still planning to audition for Star's Voice of India despite the fact that C2005 had a lot of drama, walkouts and non-music related controversies. The walkout ruined the image of some of the contestants. Wouldn't say it ruined their lives or careers though. Anyway, thats the spirit, to never quit, even if you have one bad experience!! Life has its ups and downs. Music is a competitive field, like any field, you need a lot of luck sometimes. Good luck! 👍🏼

Hi dear...

Nice to see you again!

I have so many things to tell but right now I would make only 2 points:

As your quote about Amit Sana / Praju etc...I would say that u wont understand me untill you come down to Auditions venue & see what material is rejected. Those rejected one are even higher (I told it before--100 times better than...check the threads). Wont you say they are at loss!

But that would only be clear when one throws out the spex II's TV presentation!

Secondly...This SVOI show seems different than Indian Idol & one should not have to dance & look like Hritik to move up! This game may promote singing & dont mix the show with C2005 coz teams are altered & channel is also a different!

But that is also a point of debate so I wont discuss much!

Thanks for the reply!
