If I knew..
Things were going just right.. Maybe things will be back to normal soon.. thought Sharon.. Swayam had started mellowing down to her and started trusting her.. She had a ray of hope that maybe in sometime Swayam and she would be back together.. But guess destiny had some other plans.. Just when she was going to take a step forward to resolve issues with Swayam entered Ruhi.. Sharon never had a problem as such with her.. She always took her as a sweet, caring and friendly girl who was from a small town and would hesitate to talk to new people or make new friends.. Maybe that's why VP Sir asked both of them to help his niece settle in college.. Everything was going good until.. That one accident.. That accident that shaken up everything.. It had left a deep impact on Sharon too.. She had not only seen Swayam's unconditional love for her but also realised how intense her love for him was.. Till date she knew she loved him but the intensity had now made it clear that how deep her love was..
But this accident had also changed their lives and their equation to a great extent.. She had avoided meeting Swayam at first out of guilt but when she had gone to meet him, he didn't want to meet her.. It was quite a shock for her to see how he tried avoiding talking to her.. She sensed something wrong but what was it?, was all a mystery..
Swayam on the other hand was deeply hurt.. Hurt because he thought because Sharon's initial reaction to the accident had made it clear that she didn't love him.. Though he kept on saying it over and over again to her that its was just a phase for her and she just thinks she loves him.. It was hard for him to accept it himself because somewhere deep down his heart he still had some hope that maybe someday in some way Sharon will prove him wrong.. But yet again it hurt him to keep even a small hope.. He was left hurt once again..
None of them realised that there was someone keeping a watch on his actions and hers as well.. Taking advantage of the vulnerable state Swayam was in Ruhi kept telling him something or the other against Sharon.. At first he got highly irritated and snapped at a once but then when he thought over it he found sense as Sharon not meeting him made it clear..
Not that Sharon had not met Swayam even once after the accident but when she did see him, Swayam was so upset that he chose to ignore her presence.. It hurt her.. hurt her a lot but taking it as a punishment for all that she had done in the past she gladly took his ignorance..
It had so happened that the day Swayam had come home all were there except for Sharon.. No one knew but Sharon had actually taken Swayam's reports to her family doctor and had made sure that all the precautions for Swayam's health were taken.. Everyone was at Swayam's place laughing.. talking and enjoying when Rey told everyone that Swayam needs to rest.. Rey was the one who was going to stay back with Swayam.. All had left except for Ruhi.. After chatting with Swayam for a while she thought of leaving for home.. Swayam had just laid back in bed.. Ruhi opened the door to leave when she found Sharon standing there with a bouquet of flowers..
Sharon: Hi Ruhi!
Ruhi: Sharon.. Aap? Yahan? Iss waqt?
Sharon: Haan bas woh actually Swayam se milne aayi thi..
Ruhi: Par woh.. Swayam toh so gaye hai..
Sharon's smile dropped.. She thought she would at last talk to Swayam and tell him about what all the doctor said but maybe she'll have to wait..
Sharon: Accha theek hai.. Koi baat nahi, main usse ek baar dekh ke aati hu..
Ruhi (blocking her way): Aare Sharon maine kahan na aapse woh so rahe hai.. Aap andar jayoge toh woh disturb ho jayenge.. Aap ek kaam kariye.. Kal.. Kal subh unse college main mil lena..
Sharon (surprised): College??
Ruhi: Haan woh Swayam ne kahan ke kal se woh college aana shuru kar rahe hai..
Sharon (hyper): What!! But doctor ne rest karne kahan hai.. Woh college kaise aa sakta hai??
Ruhi: Haan hum sabne bhi yeh hi kahan par woh nahi mane.. Woh keh rahe the ke ghar baithne se accha woh college aaye..
Sharon (in mind) Ek kaam karti hu kal subh Swayam ko college main mil lugi aur usse phirse ghar le aaungi..
Ruhi(looking at the flowers) Waise Sharon yeh phool??
Sharon: Haan woh Swayam ke liye..
Ruhi: Accha! Laiye main andar rakh dete hai..
Sharon: Nahi nahi! Its ok! Main rakh deti hu..
Ruhi: Aare de dijiye.. Main rakh deti hoon.. waise bhi kaafi late ho gaya hai aapko bhi ghar jaana chahiye..
Sharon: Haan! Waise tumhe ghar nahi jaana?!
Ruhi: Haan bas nikal hi rahi thi..
Sharon: Ok.. Toh chalo main tumhe drop kar deti hu..
Ruhi: Sukhriyaan Sharon.. Aap chaliye main abhi aati hoon..
Ruhi moved into the house and dumped the flowers in the dustbin.. There was a card in it which she tore and threw it with the flowers.. She left from there with an evil smile playing on her face.. She didn't noticed that Rey was standing right behind noticing her throwing the flowers away.. He was actually confused as to what was she yet doing there.. He moved to the dustbin and saw the dumped flower.. He had a confused frown on his face when he saw the label that was in bits and pieces.. He picked it up and joined the few pieces when he saw Sharon's name on it.. He got even more confused as to why did Ruhi throw the flowers.. He thought of keeping the thought back and dealing with it the next day..
The very next day Sharon was pacing in the Rehearsal Hall waiting for Swayam to come.. As she didn't know the time that plans to come she was there since 8am and the clock just struck 10:30am.. She didn't want to call him and ask him as she knew he wouldn't talk to her properly.. And lost in her thoughts she forgot that she could have called Rey as well.. None of her friends had yet come and she was so lost that she didn't even think of calling them.. She continued pacing for the next half an hour when Kriya entered the Rehearsal Hall..
Kriya: Hey Sharon.. Kya hua?? Aap itne tensed kyun ho?
Sharon: Kriya! Swayam ne kuch kahan tha kya ke woh aaj college kab tak aayega??
Kriya (confused): Swayam aur college?
Sharon: Haan..
Kriya: Come on Sharon woh kal hi toh hospital se ghar gaya hai.. toh aaj college kaise aayega?! Waise kal jab hum uske ghar par the tab woh bol raha tha ke woh aana chahta hai par hum sab ke mana karne par woh maan gaya ke usse aaj araam karna chahiye..
Sharon (shocked): Kya?! Par kal raat Ruhi ne toh kahan ke Swayam college aa raha hai?!
Kriya: Ruhi ne??
Sharon: Haan..
Kriya: Nahi Swayam toh aaj ghar par hi hai and in fact abhi just Ruhi wahan gayi hai aur Rey kuch der pehle apne ghar gaye hai..
Sharon: Ok fine.. Main jaati hoon..
Kriya: Par kahan?
Sharon: Swayam ke paas.. ok bye..
Sharon rushed from there.. But Kriya here was lost in her thoughts.. She had found Ruhi's behaviour quite weird from the start.. Even at first she had noticed her praising Swayam way too much.. Then the Rose Day.. And now her behaviour from the time Swayam was in the hospital.. It was not the 1st time that Kriya had felt that she was lying to Sharon.. In fact in the hospital too Ruhi had told Swayam that Sharon hadn't come to meet him at all.. And somewhere she even found it unusual that Swayam was actually believing on whatever she said..
She was lost in her thoughts when she felt a tap on her shoulder.. She looked back just to find Rey..
Rey: Hey.. Kya hua? Kahan khoyi ho?
Kriya: Hi Rey.. Kuch nahi woh Ruhi ke bare main soch rahi thi.. Aapko nahi lagta yeh Ruhi kuch jyada hi weird behave karti hai..
Rey: Tumhe aisa kyun lagta hai?
Kriya told Rey about the hospital incident when she had gone to meet Swayam.. Then the incident when Sharon had come to the hospital but the way Ruhi stopped her.. And then this incident..
Rey: You know now I'm quite sure ke kuch toh gadbad hai..
Kriya: Kyun? Aap aisa kyun keh rahe ho?
Rey narrated whatever he saw last night.. Both of them sat there discussing about Ruhi's behaviour towards Sharon and Swayam.. Both were trying to understand what was actually happening.. On the other hand Sharon had just reached Swayam's house and was welcomed by kaka.. She immediately went to Swayam's room just to find him and Ruhi chatting and laughing together.. Though she didn't like Ruhi's growing closeness with Swayam but ignoring that she looked at him and a smile crept on her face looking at him laugh.. She stepped in..
Sharon: Hi Swayam.. Hi Ruhi..
Swayam was quite surprised looking at Sharon there.. actually happily surprised whereas Ruhi got a bit nervous..
Ruhi: H.. Hi Shaorn..
Swayam: Hey! Tum? Yahan?
Sharon: Haan woh actually.. tumse milne aayi thi.. Woh mujhe laga ke tum college aayoge.. but as you didn't.. main yahan aa gayi tumse milne..
Swayam: O..k..
After a few moments of awkward silence..
Sharon: So.. How.. are you now?
Swayam (smiling): Better.. much better..
It went silent all over again.. All three of them were looking here and there.. and then at each other..
Ruhi: Sharon aap bethiye.. Swayam main aapke liye juice leke aati hu..
Sharon (stopping her): Nahi Ruhi.. Tum baitho main leke aati hu..
Ruhi didn't insist and instead let Sharon go to bring the juice.. She sat back and looked at Swayam was smiling to himself.. He was really happy looking at Sharon and what he saw in her eyes was nothing but immense concern and care.. He was lost thinking about her when his thoughts were disturbed..
Ruhi: Kya ssare sheher ke log aise hi hote hai?
Swayam (confused): Kya matlab?
Ruhi: Swayam bura mat maanyega par dekhiye na.. Aapne Sharon ke liye apni jaan itne khatre main daali.. Aur aapko itni chot pahuchi par usse toh koi parvah hi nahi hai..
Swayam frowned looking at her and waited for her to continue..
Ruhi: Dekhiye na aap hospital main the tab woh aapse milne nahi aayi.. Na aapke bare main kisi se kuch pucha.. Phir aap ghar bhi aa gaye aur woh aaj aa rahi hai aapse milne.. Aur mujhe ek baat samjh nahi aayi.. Jab unhe pata tha ke aap kal hi hospital se aaye hot oh yeh toh koi bhi samjh sakta hai ke aap ek ya do din toh ghar par rahoge.. Aur Sharon keh rahi thi ke woh aapke liye college main intezaar kar rahi thi.. Pata nahi sach main intezaar kar bhi rahi thi ya bas bahane bana rahi thi..
Ruhi smirked to herself when she saw Swayam actually analysing what she just said.. Swayam was actually thinking over whatever Ruhi just said.. And there were even evidences for him to believe whatever Ruhi said.. Though a small part of him didn't want to believe what she said but the situation was in favour with her words.. He felt the same pain again.. The same pain he felt when he realised that Sharon doesn't love him.. His heart ached even more.. But again he remembered how Sharon smiled when she just saw him and it felt as if she still cared but yet again those words echoed in his mind..
His thoughts were broken when Sharon entered with a glass of juice and a few sandwiches in a tray.. She walked it with a pleasant smile on her face but it dropped as soon as she saw that pained expression on his face.. She saw that pain in his eyes.. Sharon kept the tray on the bed in front of him and looked at with concern trying to ask him what happened all of a sudden.. Just when he saw that he covered up with a blank face and his eyes went all cold..
Sharon (softly): Swayam.. Kuch khaa lo..
Swayam: Ruhi please yeh tray yahan se le jaao.. Mujhe bhook nahi hai.. Aur abhi mujhe thodi der ke liye rest karna hai..
Ruhi (taking the tray): Haan Swayam aap araam kariye..
Sharon stood there motionless looking at Swayam.. She didn't understand what happened to him all of a sudden.. When she had come she saw his warm eyes that looked happy seeing her there and then suddenly the pain followed by those cold eyes.. Again.. She wanted to know what was wrong but the way he ignored her presence stabbed her heard.. stabbed it brutally.. She felt as if her presence was unwanted to him now.. Without saying a single word she left not only from his room but also his house.. She didn't want anyone to noticed her tears or vulnerable state.. not even Swayam..
As she was leaving Kriya and Rey had come to talk to her and Swayam but what they saw got them worried.. They tried stopping Sharon when they saw her tears but she had already left.. They thought about talking to Swayam about it.. As they went up they saw Ruhi sitting in the living area smiling to herself.. Without sparing her a glance they went to Swayam where they saw him sitting lost in his thoughts..
Kriya: Hi Swayam..
Rey: Hey Swayam..
Swayam: Hey guys.. Tum dono? Ek saath??
Rey: Haan bas aise hi..
Kriya: Tum batao.. Tum kaisa feel kar rahe ho ab?
Swayam: Kaafi better feel kar raha hu..
Rey: Aare waise abhi Sharon ko yahan se jaate hue dekha.. Woh ruki nahi yahan?
Swayam (a bit low): Sharon chali gayi.. Aur woh yahan rukegi bhi kyun?
Kriya: Aise kyun bol rahe ho??
Swayam: Nahi kuch nahi.. Woh toh hospital main bhi mujhse milne nahi aayi thi toh maine usse yahan bhi expect nahi kiya tha.. But aayi thi.. Formality ke liye hi sahi..
Rey: Kya bol raha hai Swayam?
Kriya: Haan aur tumse kisne kahanse Sharon hospital nahi aayi thi?
Swayam: Kisiko waise kehne ki zarurat nahi hai.. main jaanta tha ke woh nahi aayegi.. Par haan Ruhi ne kahan tha ke Sharon ne mere liye phone bhi nahi kiya that oh aana toh dur ki baat hai..
Rey (getting irritated): Tu jaanta bhi hai tu kya bakwaas kar rah hai?
Kriya didn't wait for Swayam toh speak but just moved out of his room in irritation.. She went directly to Ruhi..
Kriya (irritated): Aap yeh sab kyun kar rahe ho?
Ruhi was quite startled by Kriya's sudden approach and question.. she stood up and looked at her confused..
Ruhi: Aap kya bol rahe ho mujhe samjh nahi aa rah?!
Kriya: Aapne Swayam se jhoot kyun kahan ke Sharon usse milne nahi aayi? Aur phir Sharon se kahan ke Swayam aaj college jaa raha hai jab aapko pata tha ke woh ghar par hi rahega..
Ruhi was shocked that Kriya had somewhat caught her entire mind game and she feared that maybe she will tell Swayam all about it.. She thought for a second and then suddenly put on a scared expression and looked at Kriya..
Ruhi (scared): Nahi aisa nahi hai.. Hum kisi se jhoot nahi keh rahe..
Kriya: Main bahut acchi tarah se jaanti hu ke aap Swayam aur Sharon ke beech misunderstandings create kar rahe ho..
Kriya couldn't complete..
Swayam: Kriya! Yeh tum kya bol rahi ho?? Ruhi aisa kyun karegi?
Rey: Dekh Swayam tu samjh..
Swayam (cutting him): Nahi Rey!
Kriya: Par Swayam..
Swayam (cutting her): Please Kriya.. Mujhe pata hai Sharon tumhari bahut aachi dost hai par iska matlab yeh nahi ke uske actions justify karne ke liye tum kisi aur ko blame karo..
Ruhi took full advantage of this situation and went and stood next to Swayam with her crocodile tears..
Ruhi (in tears): Swayam hum aapke aur Sharon ke beech nahi aana chahte the.. Meri koi baat aapko buri lagi ho toh mujhe maaf kar dijiye..
Swayam: Nahi Ruhi.. Tumhe sorry bolne ki zarurat nahi hai.. Tumhari koi galti nahi hai..
Rey: Swayam tu poori sachai nahi jaanta hai..
Swayam: Please Rey! Main sab jaanta hu.. Aur yeh bhi jaanta hu ke Sharon doesn't care aur iss poore situation main Ruhi ki koi galti nahi hai..
Kriya (pissed off): Rey chaliye yahan se.. Jab Swayam humari baat sunna hi nahi chahta toh usse samjhane ka kya fyda..
Kriya and Rey looked at Ruhi who was looking down and yet shedding "tears".. They both left from there and went straight to find where Sharon was.. Kriya called her and asked her where she was to which she said that she was home as she just called it a day off..
Both Kriya and Rey met up with Sharon and told her everything about what they had experienced and seen of Ruhi.. They even told her about what just happened.. Sharon was beyond shocked when she came to know all about it.. She hadn't expected something like this from Ruhi but it was quite clear to her now that she was nothing but fooled to understand the mastermind behind that sweet smile of hers.. She immediately messaged Ruhi to meet her in the Rehearsal Hall in half and hour and here she told Rey to go to Swayam's house to take care of him..
In the Rehearsal Hall..
Sharon was beyond pissed from the time she had come to know how actually Ruhi was.. And a small town timid girl playing mind games to create a rift between Swayam and her was another blow she got.. Though she had felt that Ruhi somewhere liked Swayam but when she bought this to Swayam's notice and he had just shoved her she thought that maybe she was thinking too much.. As for Sharon Swayam can never go wrong in judging people.. She had done once not believed his judgement and that happened to be a mistake and they had landed up in such a big mess that till dte she was trying to clear all of it.. She was sitting there when she saw Ruhi entering..
Ruhi: Hi Sharon.. Kya baat hai? Aapne itni jaldi jaldi main mujhe yahan bulaya..
Sharon (attitude): Kuch nahi bas tumse yeh puchna tha ke kaise?? Kaise kar leti ho tum yeh sab?
Ruhi (confused): Aap kya bol rahe ho mujhe samjh nahi aa raha?!
Sharon (sarcastically): Waaoh Ruhi! Bahut acchi actress ho.. Kuch dino Swayam aur mere beech misunderstands aise khadi ki aaj Swayam apne best friends ko trust na karke tumhe trust kar raha hai.. Kaise? Kaise kar leti ho tum yeh sab?
Ruhi understood that Kriya and Rey had told Sharon everything.. She knew that now there was no use faking and there was no harm in openly challenging or warning Sharon.. She first thought for a few moments and then smiled at Sharon..
Ruhi: Woh kya hai Sharon jyada mushkil nahi hai.. Maine toh Swayam ko sirf sachai dikhayi.. Ki kaun unke liye sahi hai aur kaun nahi.. Aur woh samjh gaye..
Sharon was getting irritated with that smile and the over-confident look on Ruhi's face.. She just felt like breaking her teeth when she smiled..
Sharon (irritated): Mind it Ruhi! Agar Swayam aur mere beech aane ki koshish ki.. Toh mujhse bura koi nahi hoga.. (crossing her hand over her chest) Iss liye aaj sirf warn kar rahi hu.. That stay away! Swayam se jitna dur rahogi utna tumhare liye accha hoga..
Ruhi: Aapko sach main lagta hai ke main aapke inn dhamkiyon se darr jaungi?? (laughing sarcastically) Sharon aapne shayad dekha nahi aaj aapko dekh ke Swayam ke chehre ki smile gayab ho gayi thi.. Iska matlab yeh hai ke aap Swayam ko dukh ke alawa aur kuch nahi de sakte ho.. Unko sirf hum khush rakh sakte hai.. Aapne dekha aaj woh jab mere saath the tab kitne khush the.. Aapne aake unki hassi cheen li.. Samjho Sharon aap Swayam ke liye sahi nahi ho.. Unke saath sirf woh hi reh sakta hai jo unse pyaar kare.. Aur hum Swayam se bahut bahut pyaar karte hai..
Sharon's anger knew no bounds when she heard Ruhi say that she can only give Swayam pain.. That one sentence had shaken here up and riled her..
Sharon (shouting): How dare you?! Tum hoti kaun ho mere aur Swayam ke bare main bolne wali?? Tumhari himmat kaise hui yeh bolne ki ke main Swayam ke pain ka reason hu! How..
But Sharon couldn't continue.. The sudden shout had aggravated the irritation in her throat and she had gone short of breath as the stress and anger started taking a toll.. She was finding it difficult to breath.. She started coughing and struggling for breath.. Ruhi looked at her and just smirked while leaving from there.. Sharon opened her purse but didn't find her inhaler there.. It had been ages she had used it so she had stopped carrying it.. She was struggling when suddenly she started having blackouts.. Due to the sudden attack, shortness of breath and coughing she feel down on her knees trying to catch her breath somehow.. But instead she just fainted in a few minutes..
Kriya had come to college with Sharon.. She was in the atrium when she saw Ruhi leaving while smiling to herself.. Kriya was confused and moved to the Rehearsal Hall to ask Sharon what had happened between the two of them.. As she entered she saw Sharon there unconscious on the floor.. She rushed to her and tapped her cheek.. She even sprinkled some water on her face but Sharon didn't move.. Out of panic she called Rey and informed him about Sharon..
Rey (shocked): Kya??!! Kriya relax.. Tum Sharon ke saath ruko.. I'm coming.. Give me 5 minute I'll be there..
Swayam was right in front of Rey.. Swayam got all worried when he heard Rey tensed about Sharon..
Swayam (worried): Rey.. Kya hua? Sharon theek toh hai?
Rey: I need to go.. Emergency hai..
Rey got up to leave and almost ran out.. Swayam was walking behind him..
Swayam: Rey baat kya hai? Sharon ko kya hua??
Rey didn't answer but just left from there as he was beyond worried for his best friend.. A fear of something happening to Sharon clouded Swayam heart.. He didn't know what to do?.. Who to ask?.. where to go?.. Rey had also not told him anything.. He left for college and thought maybe he would come to know about something there..
Rey had rushed to the Rehearsal Hall and both of them took Sharon to the hospital.. The doctors immediately took her inside for examination.. Rey and Kriya were waiting out.. Here Swayam had reached college and he asked everyone if they had seen Sharon or Rey or Kriya.. One of them said that Sharon was unconscious in Rey's arms and Kriya was walking hurriedly behind them.. Swayam went all numb listening to this.. What had happened to Sharon that she was unconscious.. Had she got an asthma attack??.. But how??.. Not getting any answers to his questions he thought of going directly to the hospital and find out..
Here the doctor had just examined Sharon and come out..
Rey: Doctor Sharon kaisi hai??
Kriya: Haan unhe suddenly kya ho gaya?
Doctor: Actually Sharon ko severe asthama attack aaya hai..
Kriya (shocked): Asthma??
Doctor: And in fact I'm quite surprised ke attack was so major.. Dance karte waqt she was fine and now an attack all of a sudden is quite unusual.. Anyways abhi toh Sharon neend ka injection diya hua hai.. But please don't let her stress.. Yeh attack doesn't look like a pleasant sign.. I fear shayad Sharon ka asthma ka problem phirse usse dance chodne pe majboor kar sakta hai.. We'll keep her under observation for the next 24 hours and uske baad no physical exertion for a week atleast..
Rey and Kriya stood rooted to their place while the doctor told them about Sharon's state.. Kriya was all the more shocked with the news that Sharon had asthma, Rey atleast knew about it.. Both had moist eyes listening thinking about her and her health.. As the doctor left they both stood by the door thinking about how are they going to deal with this situation and more over how are they going to disclose the dance thing to Sharon.. Both had gone silent and weren't talking to each other too..
Swayam had just reached the hospital and asked for Sharon's room number at the reception.. He almost ran to the room avoiding his throbbing head.. He saw Rey and Kriya sitting by the door..
Swayam (hyper): Rey kya hua hai Sharon ko?
Rey: Tu yahan kya kar raha hai? Tujhe ghar par hona chahiye..
Swayam: Please Rey.. Please bata Sharon ko kya hua? Doctor ne kya kahan?
Kriya (coldly): Swayam tum ghar jao.. Sharon theek hai.. Hum hai uske liye..
Swayam (pleading): Kriya please atleast tum batao Sharon theek toh hai na? Koi serious baat toh nahi hai? Usse asthma attack aaya tha? Aisa kya ho gaya tha?
Kriya (sarcastically): Kyun tumhari dost Ruhi ne tumhe bataya nahi? Woh hi thi na jisse Sharon ne last baat kit hi aur ab yahan hai..
Swayam was shocked.. He couldn't believe that Ruhi was the reason for Sharon's this state.. He looked at Rey who gave him a cold shoulder.. He again looked at Kriya would just looked to the other side not wanting to talk to him.. He walked and stood by the door to Sharon's room.. There he saw her unconscious.. Her face looked pale and lifeless.. His heart ached not wanted to see her like this.. A lone tears trickled down his eyes.. He walked away wiping it and determined to know what exactly happened..
Swayam directly went to his house knowing that Ruhi will be there.. As he opened the door Ruhi rushed to him looking all worried..
Ruhi: Swayam kahan chale gaye the aap?? Aapko pata hai hum kitna darr gaye the?! Waise kya baat hai? Aap itna preshaan kyun ho?
Swayam looked at Ruhi passing her cold glares.. Ruhi was confused looking at him all angry..
Swayam: Kya kahan tumne Sharon se?
Ruhi (confused): Maine?? Sharon se??
Swayam (almost shouting): Aisa kya keh diya tumne usse ke itne mahino baad Sharon ko itna severe asthma attack aa gaya?!
Ruhi (fumbling): Swayam.. Aap.. aap mujhe galat samjh rahe ho.. maine Sharon se aisa kuch nahi kahan..

Ruhi just nodded her head negatively as she had lost her voice out of fear.. All the events from the time Swayam was in the hospital flashed infront of his eyes.. He was reading between the lines and events.. All of it was in front of him but he was so busy ignoring Sharon that he failed to notice her love.. He failed to understand her.. As realisation dawned upon him tears of guilt ran down his eyes..
Swayam (to himself): Yeh maine kya kar diya?? Itna andha kaise ho sakta tha?? Sharon ko nahi samjh paaya.. Uske pyaar ko nahi dekha.. How could I?? How could I??.. Woh kitni hurt hui hogi mere behaviour se.. Mujhe.. Mujhe abhi uske paas jaana hoga.. Usse meri zarurat hai..
Swayam went back to the hospital leaving behind a shocked Ruhi.. She had not realised what all had just happened in the span of a few minute.. Swayam ran in the hospital like a crazy man.. He reached her room and saw Rey and Kriya sitting with her inside.. They were talking about something.. He saw Rey trying to cheer he up with his funny antics.. She was smiling weakly but that smile didn't reach her eyes.. He slowly opened the door while his gaze fixed on her..All three of them looked at him coming in..
Rey (moving forward): Swayam dekh..
Swayam (cutting him): Mujhe Sharon se akele main kuch baat karni hai..
Rey and Kriya looked at Sharon who just nodded positively telling them to go out for a while.. Rey and Kriya left from there and Swayam walked to her side with his eyes filled with guilt.. regret.. concern.. and above all immense love.. He thought she must be pissed and angry with him for misunderstanding her but no.. In fact she was looking at him lovingly with a smile on her angelic face.. He sat on the stool bedside her..
Swayam (softly): Hey.. Kaisi ho?
Sharon: I'm fine.. Aur tum?
Swayam (looking down): Main theek hu..
Sharon (calmly): Swayam you shouldn't have come.. Tumhe doctor ne rest karne bola hai..
Swayam didn't answer and had his head hanging down.. Sharon looked at him confused.. She got worried as he wasn't saying anything.. She was hesitant but kept a hand on his shoulder..
Sharon: Hey.. Kya hua? Tum theek toh ho?
Swayam (guilty): I'm sorry.. Really very sorry..
Sharon (confused): Sorry?.. Par kyun??
Swayam looked up at her.. That's when she saw his eyes brimmed and ready to spill any moment.. She got worried and immediately moved forward to wipe his tears and cup his face but she stopped an inch before his face.. Curled her fingers and retreated her hand.. Swayam saw this and his heart ached even more and it added to the mountain to guilt.. He felt he had pushed things far beyond limits.. He held her hand before she could take them further back.. He held them securely between his palms..
Swayam (looking at her): I'm sorry.. Tumhe misunderstand karne ke liye.. Tumhe judge karne ke liye.. Tumhare feeling ko ignore karne ke liye.. I'm sorry tumhe itna hurt karne ke liye..
By now all the unshed tears had started flowing down both their cheek.. Swayam sat on the bed next to her..
Swayam: I'm sorry ke maine tumhe itna galat samjha.. Main hamesha kehta tha ki main tumhe sabse jyada samjhta hu.. I'm sorry tumhe na samjhne ke liye.. Main khud main itna kho gaya tha ke main tumhare true feeling dekh hi nahi paaya..
Sharon (cutting him): Sshhh.. Bas.. Iss main tumhari koi galti nahi hai..
Swayam (nodding negatively): hai.. Meri hi galti hai.. Maine ek 3rd person ko humare beech aane diya.. Uss pe itna blindly trust kar liya ke yeh nahi dekha ke mere behaviour se tum kitna hurt ho rahi ho..
Sharon (holding his hand): Asia nahi hai.. Tumne mujhe hurt nahi kiya hai..
Swayam: Jhoot mat bolo.. Agar tum hurt nahi hoti toh aaj yahan nahi hoti.. Tumhe asthma attack nahi aata..
Sharon: Asthma attack hyper hone se aata hai.. Hurt hone se nahi..
Both chuckled amidst their tears.. Sharon left his hand and wiped his tears.. She kept wiping them as they kept flowing and staining his face and she wiped her face too.. She straighten his hair and kept looking into his eyes.. She could see immense love in them after such a long time.. After long there were no traces of hurt or pain but yes a few trace of guilt and regret but she knew those would go once she was fine..
Sharon (cupping his face with one hand): Sorry..
Swayam who was lost in the pool of love he saw in her eyes suddenly gave her a confused frown.. Reading his mind, she continued..
Sharon: Tumhe itna hurt karne ke liye..
Swayam (holding her hand that was on his cheek): Tum bahut sorry bol li Sharon.. Ab nahi..
Sharon: But Swayam..
Swayam (cutting her): I love you..
Sharon was stunned.. She looked at him with wide eyes that were happily shocked.. She hadn't expected this so soon.. She thought things will be fine between them now but it would take her a while to convince him to get back together.. But his sudden I love you' said otherwise.. Swayam grinned looking at her shocked stated.. He was enjoying it.. He waited for her to recover from her shock..
Sharon (stammering): Kya.. Kya kahan..Tumne??
Swayam moved his face closer to hers while looking deep into her eyes..
Swayam: Maine kahan.. I love you..
Sharon's eyes brimmed once again but this time out of sheer happiness.. She couldn't believe her ears today.. She could understand what was happening..
Sharon (with happy tears): Phirse kaho..
This time Swayam smiled wider and moved closer slowly wrapping his hands around her and pulling her into a hug.. He bought his lips closer to her ears.. The almost brushed the shell of her ear and she felt his hot breath playing havoc with her senses..
Swayam: I love you.. And always will.. Till my last breath..
He placed a soft kiss above her ear and nuzzled in her hair.. Sharon wrapped her arms around him in a urgent manner and tighten her grip.. She nuzzled in the crook of his neck..
Sharon (mumbling): I love you.. Love you..
She kept mumbling those words and kept her grip tight around him.. Both were taking in each other's warmth.. They were finally in the place where they belonged.. The place they had missed being in for such a long time.. And this was it.. They back together.. In each other's arms.. As they say All's well the ends well'.. But this was surely not the end.. It was just the end of a painful chapter and the start of a new life with a fresh new beginning..
