And that influence part. Hmm. Lemme give you a simple example, that may help.
If we wanted to distract a little kid, we normally play a game with him, right? We don't bother if the game is way too immature for us, or silly or boring. Our focus is distracting him. But what really happens is, once we start playing, we also enjoy the game irrespective of how we felt about it before we started. Eventually we get involved in it.

Similarly, Zain's attempt is to get her to shut up from her smart retorts like you mentioned. The only way he has identified to make her stop talking is by making her nervous with the physical presence and closeness. What has initially started as a trick or technique for him, he is falling into the same trap. The whole staring thing is to make her more nervous. But when he does stare like that, isn't that affecting him as well? She looks more cute, more adorable, so innocent and beautiful as well each time he gazes at her. He has started enjoying the game that he has started. But does he realise that?

He is enjoying this because Aliya is being very shy and nervous with his crowding. But what if she started asking him qns as to why is he trying to get close to her? What if she tells him to back off and not bother her like this? Zain will feel insulted and a little disgusted at himself that he was gazing at her like a love sick puppy to make her nervous, only she fires back at him. Doesn't that make him look like the despo husband? Cant say wanton, but yes like a desperate husband wanting to be with his wife.

I don't normally watch scenes multiple times to analyse really. I barely get time to watch an episode once. But whatever comes to mind on the first go is what I share.
And I mention each time I analyse that, this being an Indian show, its possible my analysis might not be entirely true at all. They can twist and turn characters and story anytime.

Aaliya is a cultured girl. After knowing that fake stuff from Zain, she couldn't digest the fact that she had done it. She was a kind of guilty too and then she must be thinking that now Zain will tease or taunt her more after the night's actions. She couldn't bear all this and moreover with Zain, the person whom she hates the most 😉

i am like aliya too! the circumstances in which nikah occured, she surely would have waited for him to accept her!
if that happens with me(Allah forbade) i would have cried too 😆
