| | Shaheen Parkar | | We're together: Hiten Paintal and Kishwar Merchant | They are spotted together at parties, matching moves on the dance floor, and don't leave each other's side at social dos.
Kishwar Merchant and Hiten Paintal don't take refuge under the "just a friend" tag, like most actors do.
They are honest and forthright. Both admit they are in love and hope that one day, marriage will happen. What's to hide?
"Yes we are dating each other," admits Kishwar who plays Vanshika in Star Plus daily, Kkavyanjali. "We are always together and it's pretty obvious, so what is there to hide? I am in love with Kishwar," says Hiten, son of Bollywood funster Paintal. Families know
"Our families know about each other. Kishwar is welcomed at my place. My folks are happy about it," adds Hiten, who recently did a cameo in the Zee Smile show, Home Sweet Home.
The couple first met a year ago during Aliraza Namdar's comedy play Meri Life Mein Uski Wife. "We were not cast opposite each other though," adds Hiten "but spent a lot of time during the rehearsals. By the time the play was ready to be staged, we had developed a special bond." Year's up
"It is exactly a year of our friendship — we began rehearsals in late August 2004, and by September, we knew we liked each other's company," adds Hiten. Right now, the couple is taking things as they come. "I am getting a new portfolio shot; I want to do more modeling, besides acting in TV serials."
Hiten has his sights set on Bollywood. "I did Sanjay Gadhvi's Tere Liye. Now, I want to more of films besides the stage shows I do." Both love to party so they are out every night. "There is nothing official about our relationship yet," says Hiten. While Kishwar adds, "We hope our friendship takes on a more important meaning." |
