Here is another OS on Zaya. A very short one. Hope you like it! :)
RAINFALL
Zain and Aliya had gone out to a friend's party and now were on their way back. It was dark and they were now driving through the woods to take a short cut. All of sudden it began to rain. Zain closed the windows because the rain was getting in. "Wait Zain, don't close the windows!"
"Why?"
"Because it is my first mumbai ki barish. It's bad enough that I'm in a car with you, and now you want me to miss my first barish?"
"Mamu ki bhanji, it's one in the morning. Stop being anoying." Aliya stuck her hand outside.
"If you close it, my hand will get stuck, so stop." Zain rolled his eyes and turned to look back at the road. All of a sudden the car began to stutter and halt flying both Zain and Aliya foreward. The got back up and Zain looked over at Aliya.
"This is all your fault."
"My fault? Did I tell the car stop?" He opened the car door and got out.
"YES" Zain was soaked the minute he got out. He went to the front of the car and opened it up. Black smoke rose making Zain cough. He came back and opened the door and bent down. "The engine is toast. I'm going to walk around to see if there is someone here that can help."
"But Zain, its dark and raining. At least wait till it stops raining,"
"We need to get home fast, and waiting in a car till the rain stops isn't going to help. I'll be back" Before Aliya could argue any further, he slammed the door and left in to the dark jungle leaving Aliya behind.
Twenty minutes passed yet Zain never came back. "Ya Allah! Where did Zain go?" She took off her seat belt and went into the rain. "Might as well try looking for him." Aliya went into the same way that Zain went, hoping that she would find him
Five minutes later Zain returned to the empty car. "Oh no. Where did Aliya go now?" Zain took out his phone and try calling. "And now there is not even one bar of reception. Great. ALIYA, ALIYA!" his voice echoed but there was no voice in return. "Damn, where can she be now."
He went back into jungle to find his biwi. Seven minutes of searching he began to call to call her name again. "Aliya! Where are you?"
"ZAIIN!" Aliya screamed running in the direction of the voice.
"Aliya where are you?"
"I'm here Zain!" They both began to follow each other's voice. Finally, Zain and Aliya saw each other. They ran straight into each others arms knowingly. Aliya was sobbing with fear. "Zai - Zain. I thought I would never see you. I thought I lost you."
"Aliya don't worry. You found me." With the words escaping his mouth they let go and looked at each other. Hugging was something they never did. But this, this felt right. "Are you okay?" Aliya looked right at him as a tear fell down from an eye. It looked so different from the rain that fell on their skin. She nodded. He slowly cleaned the tear off of her face and kissed her forehead. Aliya closed her eyes and felt electrocuted by the touch of Zains lips on her soft wet skin. "Let's go back in the car."
"Yeah." They began to walk back when Zain stopped her.
"Wait." He took off his jacket and put it around her. "Well, I guess this is one rain storm you will never forget." They both laughed as they went back towards the car.
