Adaalat Written Update 15th March 2014

An engineer Abhik Sharma is jogging on the beach, he talks to someone regarding a flyover tender. He then helps a school boy cross the road, thereafter a vehicle crushes him and he's dead.

15 days later, a man walks to Madh Island and visits and hands him his wife's bangles to get a bomb. The man gives him a bomb and utters that the metal detectors can't detect it, only high security can identify and that's present at just a few places in India.

A case is going on in the court, about the flyover tender that went to Himani builders.

Then the scene shifts to a hospital where a woman Bharti is shown weeping for her child, her husband isn't there. Meanwhile, the man with bomb approaches towards the court, with a plaster on his hand, pretending to be fractured. In the court, another builder Sethi claims that the auction was just a formality; Himani builders did setting to get the tender. A CD of the conversation between the builders and Sudhir is played. The bomb man is stopped by the policemen outside. Their detector fails to detect any danger and he's permitted to go in.

Sudhir comes in the witness box and says that this CD doesn't prove that he played a role in them getting the tender. The bomb man enters and sits. The prosecutor then claims that ward 67 staff Vinay accepted that the tender was fixed, Dave has his statement's copy. Vinay denies this and pledges that he didn't do anything wrong. This angers the bomb man who gets up and yells suddenly, removing his fake moustache and beard. He's Abhinav Saatpute. Abhinav further yells that real culprits roam free and innocents like him go to jail. He then insults them all and shows the bomb fixed in his plastered hand. A lot of people run away screaming, KD notices them.

Abhinav is asked that what he wants to which he replies that there's a long list, he wants to kill all. When human beings won't be alive, there will be no court, no corruption. KD enters. This news of Abhinav threatening all with a bomb is being shown on channels. In the court it's revealed that Abhinav was a senior clerk, caught in corruption. The prosecutor then utters that she only fought the case against him; six lakhs were obtained from his drawer. Abhinav says that he didn't take any bribe, he lost his parents, house and his child is in the hospital. His wife Bharti watches the news from hospital.

Abhinav claims that Vinay kept the cash in his drawer, he used to argue with him daily, and he's the most corrupt man. Vinay utters that he used to argue with a different reason, Abhinav used to drink and enter the office. KD tries to convince Abhinav. Thereafter Sudhir states that he saw Abhinav take the bribe from a woman. Abhinav rubbishes it.

On being questioned about the woman by KD, Abhinav manages to recall that she needed to make a card, he directed her and hence she went away. The prosecutor utters that anti-corruption bureau discovered the money from his drawer; someone else can't do it as the key remained with him always. Abhinav reveals that anyone could do so, the lock was broken. KD calls Varun and asks him to check the lock. Meanwhile, Bharti arrives and pleads to Abhinav who tries to convince her to return. Varun informs KD that the lock is perfect, and it's empty. Abhinav says that it must have been repaired later, Vinay denies it. Bharti leaves the court as per Abhinav's instructions. Dave grabs Abhinav who then takes out his gun.

KD then asks him that as per his boss Vinay nobody touched his drawer and now Varun says that it's empty. Abhinav recalls that engineer Abhik Sharma had given him a blue file. KD expresses the doubts in his mind. Abhik gave the file to Abhinav on February 24, to give it to the assistant commissioner, Abhinav kept the file in his drawer. Thereafter he got arrested after the money was discovered, and Abhik died the same evening. Vinay says that no one touched the drawer, still the file is missing. KD recalls the woman who Sudhir saw bribing Abhinav and asks Sudhir about her. Sudhir tells him that he doesn't know about her; just saw her with Abhik once in a restaurant. He names the restaurant and Dave gets the duty to check its CCTV footage on KD's insistence. KD wonders if the woman knew anything about the file, why the file is missing. The prosecutor as well as the other defense lawyer wonder what KD is up to and blame Abhinav. The defense lawyer then advises KD to question the man who has been arrested in Abhik's hit and run case.

Scene shifts to the policemen checking the CCTV footages. They spot the woman and next she's shown packing her stuff.

Back to the court, the man engaged in the hit and run case, Iqbal, is called. Iqbal with a guilty face confesses that he was drunk and hence he lost his control. KD asks him queries related to his drinking habit and he fails to answer. KD figures out that he spoke lie, he doesn't drink and is trying to save someone by taking his blame. Iqbal confesses that he did this on Pappu's threatening. Varun arrives at Pappu's house and is stunned, he calls KD.

Dave grabs Abhinav again, this time the bomb gets activated, the two min timer starts. On a checking post, the woman gets caught. Back to the court, the timer reduces, from 10 seconds to 1 second!
