Bebo was the future of Bollywood when Alia was a kid. But now she represents the past. Everyone eulogizes the heroines of yesteryears. It goes with the territory. Nothing wrong with that. Alia also praises Aishwarya the same way and considers her as her idol. So basically she is equating Ash with Bebo, when it was Bebo who had once said that Ash is not from my generation.

Alia was always more vocal of Kareena.

And yeah, Alia is younger than I am and I grew up watching Kareena. It's kinda cool Kareena's still around when Alia is now in films 😊
