Laila silently swore
"Aaj taari uss titli ke saari rang aur hosh udha doongi mein. Aaj ke baad , taare uss chaand bhar badan pe keval daag hi daag honge "
It meant, "Today i will strip ur butterfly of all her colors and her breath... After today your Paro's moon like skin will just have blemishes only."
Laila always assumed that it was Paro's extreme physical beauty that managed to make Rudra do the unexpected and actually marry her to make that beautiful butterfly like creature his wife. And she sets about to destroy the beauty which she thinks is the key that holds Rudra's attention.
And during the confrontation of Rudra and Laila
Laila: I did meet your to be wife, but you didn't introduce me properly
Rudra : Laila (warningly)
Laila : Don't just tell the name, tell the relationship too.
*Rudra is stumped for a moment* Tell Rudra.. *and when he continues to keep quiet she becomes furious* Tell her that she is your to-be better half, and i was the one with whom ...
Rudra : I said ENOUGH!! In front of her speak with proper manners and within decent limits.
Laila looks incredulous for a moment : Nope, today neither will any screen remain, nor any limits. Before building new relationships you shouldn't hide the secrets of old relationships Rudra.
Rudra : *warning* Laila
Laila : Before everything tell me this, why did u ask me to stay within my limits in front of her? Tell? You were an animal right? so how did u become a human today all of a sudden?
And you! *she tries to aim at Paro and Rudra steps inb/w stopping her from even having a clear line of vision of Paro*
Laila : wow Rudra, now u won't even allow me to meet her eyes. Why do u think ur to be better half will get my bad eyes? no no.. today even u r not meeting my eyes.. How did u forget Rudra?
Tell her that while she is ur to-be better half I was...
Rudra: ENOUGH!!
And he stops her, turns his back to her and protectively drapes a cloth around Paro and takes her away from Laila... Away from the hearing distance of the words that childlike Paro should not hear.. the words that may violate her innocence...
Today indeed he made sure that his moonlike pure Paro was not blemished in the hands of Laila... But for him, its not Paro's physical beauty that he was trying to save at that point, though breathtaking its not that alone which draws him to her. But its her innocence and her purity that has managed to seep inside him... And that is what he cherishes most about Paro.. Her essence...
And today he wanted to ensure that her innocence, naivety and sweet virginal beliefs and knowledge will not be blemished by the vitriolic words Laila may utter...
So Laila, before u even think about blemishing his moon, be aware that he will never allow u or anyone else to do it..
No wonder Laila was skeptical that he was not in love with Paro!
