Part 18

There were kind of soft blow on their faces. The world the heartbeats the affection of theirs stopped when after years they are meeting each other looking in those eyes where their world was lies before. Khushi's eyes moist for a second.. Her tears were just waiting a sign of her to sheds to create a deep pacific ocean. She don't understand why her tears shed for a person like him when he was responsible for everything. The deeds and sin he committed wasn't that simple for her to forgive. Even if she forgive him in near future but still she won't able to forget the hurtful night. If it was that easy to forgive and forget then for now they might be living a happy life ahead.

Things didn't go well with Arnav too. His heart was beating erratically. He saw her after years and today before his eyes. Only he knows how much he missed her. Not a day passed without looking at her picture. He somewhere hopes there are miracles for him so he would able to rotate everything. He wanted to correct every sins and mistake he did in the past but at the same time he knows there are no way out other then accepting. He do get the chance but he never used it and didn't pay and ear to any advice. He was lost in his own created fantasy world where he lost his loves one just in a night.

Sneha was looking puzzle staring at her Mamma then follow by Arnav. She still remembers this man who was standing in front of her. She pulled Khushi's duppata bring her back to reality.

Sneha: "Mamma..?" She called softly to gain her attention.

Khushi's eyes move to Sneha and the next moment she glance Arnav who were probably looking at Sneha, his daughter. The soft gaze of his was only reflecting his fatherhood. As a father he wasn't able to touch his daughter as she doesn't feel comfortable with him. He wasn't able to hear the word Daddy as she already consider someone else as her father.

Sneha was getting more frustrated now. He really don't understand why these two are behaving so weird? She thought of asking which lead her to continue.

Sneha: "Mamma.. You know this STRANGER..?" Khushi's heart skipped a beat while Arnav's condition was more than worst. He could feel his heart was aching in numerous pains.

Khushi (Angirly): "Sneha...!! Is this the way to speak to someone more elder then you..? How many times I have to teach you..? You se..."

Arnav: "Khushi stop.." He intrudes in between. "Please don't scold her.." He pleads when he saw Sneha started to weeps. It wasn't his intention to make his daughter cry. He always wants her to be happy and contended but today his presence created a mishap in their life. He gives her back the cans and continued. "I don't mind if she calls me Stranger. Well, that's what I am for her when I didn't fulfill any of my responsibilities since beginning. I was failed as a husband and so does as a father. Sneha shouldn't be punished or scolded by anyone when there were no mistakes of hers. It was always my mistake. I can take every cruelty on my shoulder but I can never see tears in her eye. Please.. don't scold her. She is still small and I won't complain if she dislikes me." Khushi's tears rolled on her cheek after hearing his words. She hurriedly wiped them as she didn't want to seen weak.

Arnav bend down before Sneha and touch her cheeks with his hand trembling. He was scared what if she back off and started to resist on his touch. But seeing her accepting, he wiped her tears using his thumbs. It was indeed a first time and the moments were so smooth and brought peace in his heart.

Arnav: "You okey..?" Sneha was just looking at him who was none other than a stranger for her. She didn't waves his touch this time as she could see something in his eye. A softness which she didn't found in any eyes.. But least she knew the man who were bending in front of her is her father. The man who was equally involved to create her and bring her in this world.. She might be carried by Khushi in her womb but without his precious there is no existent of hers. She was incomplete without her parents. They both shared her equally even the destiny wasn't agreed with it.

Arnav stood up and passed a small smile to her and Khushi. He took few steps backwards while his eyes were still on them. He was aware he doesn't own any one of them. So, there is no way of imposing and claiming them. He turns around and disappears from their views.

Two days passed and finally the day arrived where Khushi was gifted with an angel in her life. She has thought her to live and shine her life with happiness and new ray of hope. Today Sneha will be celebrating her 5^th birthday with her family. She was way too happy. She was more eager to cut the cake and open her gifts. Khushi went in her room and saw her seating on the bed with a smile curves on her lips.

Khushi: "Happy Birthday Sneha Baby.." She hugged her daughter and kissed her cheek tightly leaving her lipstick marks on her skin.

Sneha: "Mamma.. My gift..?" She asked while jumping on her lap..

Khushi: "You will get your gift only after you take your bath and have your breakfast without showing any stubbornness.. Not otherwise.." She pouted..

Sneha: "Mamma.. This is not fair..! It's my birthday and today I should rule not been ruled..!" She looked angrily at her mother..

Khushi: "Stop behaving like your PAPA.." That was slipped of tongue.. She didn't want to say something which could rise question from Sneha.. She knew the fact that Sneha was resemble of Arnav and each days she remind her of Arnav. Not a day has passed without seeing her Ex-Husband in her daughter.. How ironic right..?

Sneha: "PAPA..? Who is my PAPA..?" She asked with confusion on her face..

Khushi: "Nothing.. Let's take bath.." She tried to avoid her inquiry..

Sneha: "Mamma.. Tell na.. Do I have a PAPA too..? Then Daddy..?"

Khushi(Sighing before continuing): "Sneha.. There are something which can't be explained.. Once the right time come Mamma will tell everything which was hidden. But please don't ask anything for now.." She really hopes her daughter will understand her and stop her query here.

Sneha looked at Khushi with her face still wanted an answer but at the other side she also notice some uneasiness which made her stop and obey to her. Khushi took her in the bathroom and make her ready for her birthday. In sometime, Shilpa and Ranveer will be here for the party and she really hope Arnav too will attend. She already informed Aman by leaving a message for him. She can't denied anymore or hide from her heart that Arnav Singh Raizada is Sneha Singh Raizada's Father. Even though, Sneha didn't realized till now but once the time pass she will learn everything slowly and will accept it too as the fact remain fact.. It can't be changed or been denied.

Shilpa and Ranveer just reached half an hour ago. Sneha was clinging with them since they were here and as usual she been gifted a big teddy by Ranveer and a red beautiful gown by Shilpa as her favourite colour is red too. She likes everything in red and now also she is wearing a red frock with her hair made in two small buns. She looks so adorable and cute.

The door bell rang which gain everyone attention. Khushi went to open it hoping it might be Arnav. She already informed Shilpa and Ranveer that she invited Arnav and none of them complained anything, in fact they were happy.

Once she opens the door she saw Aman standing before her eyes holding a box wrapped with pink paper.

Khushi: "Aman..?" She glanced around thought she would find Arnav but she didn't..

Aman: "Mamm.. ASR send this gift for Sneha.." He extended the gift to her while she was hesitate to hold it. She was expecting him to her not his gift.

Khushi: "Didn't he know its Sneha's birthday today..?"

Aman: "He is not in Delhi right now.. Probably will be back by tomorrow.. He told me to send this for Sneha and wished her Happy Birthday for his behalf.." Khushi frowned her brows.. This wasn't like Arnav..

Khushi: "Hmm.. I will pass the gift to Sneha.. You want to drop in..? We are going to cut the cake.."

Aman: "No.. Mamm.. I'm in hurry now.. Maybe some other days.." He gives her the gift and was about to walk away but been called again by Khushi as she wanted to inform him something.

Khushi: "Can you arrange my meeting with him once he is back from his work..?" Aman nodded in agreement and walked away from the premise and he didn't ask the motive behind this meets. Khushi enter inside holding the gift and gives it to Sneha who looked happy after seeing a Barbie Doll and that too which she craved few days ago.

They cut the cake with bundle of joys and everyone was singing and clapping for the birthday girl. The party was a simple one just among the close family. They had their lunch together and follow by listening to Sneha's none stop speech.

Raizada Mansion - 11pm

After cleaning the kitchen and the dining room Khushi switch off the lights and marched upstairs to her room. It was already late. Jenny and Sneha already retired on their respective bed. Khushi was about to climb the stairs but the sudden rang of the door bell literally stopped her from going further. She stares the clock and was little surprised to see anyone at her doorstep at this hour.

But she knows it might be someone known otherwise the security guard would never let anyone enter inside not after getting permission from her. She opened the door only to see Arnav standing before her. He was wearing a black shirt with black pant and his look was so unusual to her.

Arnav: "Can I.. I.. meet Sneha..?" He asked with little hesitation.

Khushi: "She is sleeping now.." She didn't want to stop him from meeting but she should inform him though..

Arnav: "I promise I won't disturb her.. I will just see her from far.." There were urgency in his voice.. Khushi give him some space so he could enter inside and show him Sneha's room. She didn't follow him as he knew the direction of this Mansion. It's his own house which she is staying in.

Arnav took the step steadily towards the room of his daughter. Once he reached, gently he open the door and stood at the door step. He didn't want to enter inside and scare her with his present. She was sleeping hugging the doll which he bought for her. If she came to know he has gifted her, will she hold the doll like she is doing now..? He thought..

Arnav(In his heart): "Happy Birthday Sneha.. May you get all the happiness in this world and Papa hope one day I will get the opportunity to touch you and play with you the way you does with your Daddy.. Papa will always pray for you and will never neglect any of your request and always shower you with loves.." He took deep breath before moving from the room.

He walked towards the stairs carrying burden in his heart. It was so hard to live a life like this. But do he have a choice..? He took a step further and unwontedly his legs stumble which made him rolled on the stairs. Khushi rushed towards him with panic on her face..

Khushi: "Arnav.." She called nervously.. She could see a small cut on his forehead and a kind of weird smell coming through his mouth.. "You drunk..??" She asked while examining his face.

Arnav: "Jeene kya liye pita hoon.. Marne kay liye nahi.. (I'm drinking to live not to die)" The word brought tears in her eyes.

She hurried waves them before they could sheds. She called Jenny and told her to bring the first kit box. While, she helped him to stand and that's when she notice a small bandage on his hand.. She was about to see touch but before she could he unfolded his sleeve trying to hide from her. She didn't asked anything and took him to his room to treat his wounds.

emotional and painful update. I feel very bad for arnav.he repenting very badly and punished terribly for his past deeds. but he deserve a last chance for lead a normal life with khushi and sneha. arnav is craving for love and happiness from his daughter.hope khushi understand his feelings and forgive him. anyways wonderfully protayred arshi emotions in every situation. ve ry well written. god bless u. take care
