Part 13

It had been 2 days that Khushi was in Lucknow and after that call from Arnav which she had to receive because of Daayi Maa's presence, she didnt answer any other call from him. Seemed like he wanted to talk to her seeing the number of times he was calling her every day but she ignored. She wanted him to understand that he cannot rule her life the way he wants. Faking a normal relationship before others and then hurting her within the 4 walls of their bedroom will give them nothing. But she also had to keep in mind the promise she had made him that in 3 months she will make things fine. But will she ever be able to fulfil it? Will her Shyam bhai really start loving and caring his wife Anjali? And even if he does will Arnav change in 3 months? Already some 2 weeks had passed for their marriage and she had just 2 and half months to make things right. If she stays here in Lucknow how will she work on her promise? She had many things going on in her mind but she couldnt even share it with anyone here.

Daayi Maa had already told Shyam on phone about Khushi's state here. She had guessed something is wrong between Khushi and Arnav from that phone call only. But she never opened her mouth to question Khushi. She asked Shyam to find it and advised him to help Khushi come back to normal happy state. Now according to Shyam Khushi should have been happy without Arnav in her life in Lucknow but seemed like this was not happening. She was dull there and this pricked him thinking Arnav must have told her or done something with her that she suddenly planned for Lucknow. He kept on filling Anjali's ears in these 2 days to question Arnav if anything was wrong. Initially even Anjali didnt think about it but when she started seeing Arnav's distressed looks, his unncessary anger and frustration on the servants, he coming back late from work, all this made her understand there was some issue. She tried to talk to Arnav on this who always denied her and said all was okay. But he still could never answer anything else on why Khushi had to leave so suddenly.

He saw how Anjali and Shyam had started arguing on Khushi and his matter because and he felt his sister would be getting more hurt in the process if he keeps ignoring getting Khushi back at the moment. Anjali was still not completely stable and any small stress could make her weak again. So Finally getting irritated of his sister's frequent questions and keeping in mind her health he thought of going to Lucknow himself and getting his wife back. She would never come until he forces her to be here. But his plan was again intervened when Shyam suggested he and Anjali will also accompany. Anjali was happy but not Arnav. Having these two people with him around, he will never be able to show any anger on Khushi for leaving the house . But once again he had no choice.

Lucknow - After 2 more days

Khushi was more than shocked to see her husband in Lucknow and that too not alone but with her Brother Shyam and her Bhabhi Anjali too. The moment she came to see why Daayi Maa called her out, she saw her husband closing the distance between them. She feared if he would get angry on her for not letting him know before leaving to Lucknow or will he be mad at her for not answering his innumerous calls. She hoped that the image she created of her husband before the family and about their good relationship is not spoiled by his actions today. But everything started getting clear in few seconds when he wrapped his arms around her waist and hugged her possessively. This was the first time he was actually hugging her and that too before his Di and her bhai.

Arnav: Khushi itna aasaan hai tumhaare liye? Mujhe chodkar yahan rehna? (Khushi is it so much easy for you to leave me and stay here? )

The hug was broke by him as he cupped her face and looked in her eyes

Arnav: Everyone at home are thinking we fought and hence you came back to Lucknow. So this was the best way of clearing their doubts. I came here to stay with you for some days. So that we dont miss each other and I dont have to spend sleepless nights without having you beside me.

Her heart was beating faster as she was still unable to believe he hugged her like that even after knowing why she left him and came to Lucknow. When she scanned the faces of her brother, Anjali and Daayi Maa and saw the happiness on them for witnessing her and Arnav's love, she could put everything in place. So her husband wanted to show everyone that nothing was wrong between them.

Shyam was curious to see Khushi's reactions now because he already had many guesses of something worrying his little sister.

Arnav: Why are you seeing me like that ?Miss nahi kiya mujhe? (Didnt you miss me? )

Khushi: Jee nahi. Bilkul miss nahi kiya. (No. I didnt miss you at all)

Everyone were shocked to hear that especially Arnav who gritted his teeth seeing his wife not faking all good before the family but Khushi faked a smile on her face immediately.

Khushi: How can you even ask me that Arnav? I missed you a lot. I wished to come back but as you promised me to come here and take me back home, I waited.

Anjali was happy seeing their love. Shyam was confused and Daayi Maa was trying to believe this was true.

Arnav: Then why did you come here? That too so suddenly after our marriage.

Khushi was getting angry on him slowly for asking her this. Doesnt he know why she came here? Why was he pretending so innocent like nothing happened in that Reception party night?

Khushi: I was missing Daayi Maa. So I came here.

Anjali: And we were missing you Khushi Bhabhi. Especially Chotte. He had become so much frustrated at home in your absence. Good that he made this plan to come here and stay for some days with you. Afterall he is a Damaad of this house. He has all rights to get treated well wit due respect in your house.

Khushi hugged Anjali and asked her how she was.

Anjali: I am doing very good because I have such a lovely husband to take care of me all the time. You know Khushi he has started giving me my medicines on time. Even if I forget he doesnt.

Khushi was happy but Arnav was suspicious. Medicines? He hoped Shyam was giving his sister the right medicines.

Daayi Maa asked Khushi to take Arnav in her room for freshning and then they all can have Dinner together. It was a very akward moment for Khushi to accompany her husband in this house which once belonged to his family . She knew he will have memories here and staying in this same house from where he was thrown out will never be easy. She opened her room door but he stopped. So this was her room? This room once belonged to him when he was young and coincidently she was staying in the same room . He followed her in and she locked the door. Finally she got time to share her frustration with him .

Khushi: How dare did you hug me like that before everyone. ?

Arnav: Excuse me?

Khushi: Dont look at me blankly Arnav Singh Raizada. What did you think ? You will come here to pick me and I will come back with you so easily? Your fake love will neither help you nor me. You can fool the family Arnav but not your wife.

He was already in a bad mood for coming in this house and his wife was not helping him either to feel any better. He held her arms and pinned her to the room door.

Arnav: I came to take you because Di thought we have fought, otherwise I wouldnt mind making you stay here for the rest of your life. And yes. One more thing, talk Low. I dont want Di to know we are still fighting. Is that clear? Until Di is here around us, you have to behave like nothing is wrong between us. I dont want her to stress because of our tensions.

Khushi: If you care so much for her then why dont you really keep me happy ? Be a good husband and fulfil all your duties towards this relation because you will never have to worry on your Di's matter in that case. She will automatically be happy always. She must be loving my bhai but she has her soul in you Arnav. Along with a happy married life for herself, she also wishes to see her Chotte settled with his wife. Any small difference that you will create between you and me will affect her no matter how much you try to fake everything.

Arnav was realising her point but he didnt wanted to accept anything what she said.

Arnav: Enough.

He screamed at her in anger. Khushi pushed him back to go towards the Bed.

Khushi: Chilaaiye. Aur Chilaaiye. Aapko aur aata bhi kya hai? Bus Bematalab ki Chillai. (Scream. Scream aloud. What else you know to do other than such not required screaming. )

He was losing his mind seeing her backanswering, but the door knock controlled him. He opened the door and the servants came inside with his bags. Daayi Maa also followed them.

Daayi Maa: Daamadji. Your bags.

Arnav just noded without even a smile.

Daayi Maa: If you need anything then let us know. Khushi help him unpack it and come down for the Dinner.

Khushi: No Daayi Maa, he will do that. I will come down with you.

Daayi Maa didnt get why she was avoiding Arnav again? Khushi crossed Arnav to go to the door but he held her hand stopping her.

Arnav: Not now. I need you with me here. Go later.

Daayi Maa liked the way he stopped his wife with authority.

Khsuhi: Nahi woh.

Daayi Maa: Its Okay Khushi. He is seeing you after long. Be with him. I will manage serving the dinner.

She left with a smile on her face closing the door from behind and Arnav pushed Khushi back roughly making her fall on the bed. She was very scared. He leaned over her not touching her though but pinning her between his hands and body. She turned the other side breathing hard and not meeting his eyes

Arnav : I havent forgot what happened that night between us. If you dont behave properly with me before the family especially Di, that same night can repeat again Khushi. And this time you will be left with nothing to lose after that. So dont force me to show you such a moment and do as I say. Is that clear?

She didnt reply anything and neither turned to see his face. Drops of tears rolled down her eyes feeling terrible for his thoughts. He would repeat all that? He was such a ruthless man. Instead of repenting on what he did he was scaring her to do the same if she doesnt listen to him. ?

He didnt wait for a reply from her and left inside for a Shower.

Dinning Room

She served her husband some roti's and then took a seat beside him though she never met his eyes or took the initiative in conversing with him. She was only answering what he asked. They finished the quick dinner and the men walked back to their respective rooms to rest. The journey was tiresome but Anjali waited down with Daayi Maa and Khushi.

Anjali: Is everything alright Khushi? Why cant I see any happiness on your face still ? Your husband is with you. Then why are you looking so dull still ?Are you okay?

How much ever Khsuhi tried to look happy she was still unable to give her 100% to it. And after what her husband told her just an hour back in the room of repeating that night she was all the more sad.

Anjal seemed worried now. She shook Khushi to know the answer but they heard Arnav coming there.

Arnav: Khushi you still didnt finish? I am waiting in the room and you are chit chatting with Di? Sona nahi hai kya? (Dont you wish to sleep? )

He teasingly hugged his wife from behind because he wanted to show Anjali that they were good. Khushi tucked in her stomach feeling his hands on it. She took a deep breathe and once again faked before Anjali. PLacing her hands above her husband's on her waist, she smiled.

Khushi: Hum aa hi rahe the. Di ne rok liya. (I was coming but Di stopped me. )

Anjali: But after seeing you both like this, I will no more do this sin. Take her CHotte and good night both of you.

Arnav: Thanks Di . Good night.

Without a warning, he carried Khushi in his arms shocking her but she held his neck for support and he walked all the way to their bedroom whereas Anjali stood down watching them leave. She was not a fool to not notice the expressions on Khushi's face . She knew something was majorly wrong here. Was Khushi even happy with Arnav?
