I agree to an extent, Sarah. Its hard for such a show to continue with the same ratings and hype, more so if its competition are popular serials. Those shows can continue for years and years and the ratings remain more or less the same. They are the most successful shows on TV. The show couldn't last for too long in the US either. After sometime, the hype and interest just died down. I wouldn't be surprised if KBC 4 has lower ratings than the fourth season, regardless of the host.
Same happened with Indian Idol 2. The first season was a huge hit but the second just did not match up. Lets see what happens with the third season. Like KBC3, it too has gone through 'big' change. One host and two judges have been replaced.
i totally agree with you😳.
My comment about how Srk's name was used in the title of the article to gain attention has some how started a debate about how successful teh show has been with Srk at the helm. When all my comment was to underline was the fact that a huge brand like Srk sells..Oh well i dont want to get into the whole 'who is better then who' discussion. Other then to say that the actual format itself is alot of the time the driving point in such game shows..We had the first 'who wants to be a millionaire' here in the Uk and evn though it still runs with the same host for all these years the interest level has really gone down- even though the host is a well known and established person..
