First of all, welcome back Ashish Sharma. RangRasiya is complete now.

Now can someone please tell me what exactly makes RR so fabulous? It's really something I cannot compare to any other show I've watched. We all get excited when we get to watch good intense and/or romantic scenes in our favorite shows. But the scenes in RR seriously have an entirely different impact. Let me try to explain it. I always say that a good Sanjay Leela Bhansali movie is something that you watch in theater only or at least on a big TV screen. And those movies can be your source of inspiration when you sit down to write a meaningful, intense love saga. Take Devdas as an example. RR is the first show that forces me to watch it on my plasma TV even if it is a bit inconvenient - unless it's one of those filler episodes or an episode that I just cannot watch when it's live on TV cuz I am not home.

The opening of the show was nothing less than a well-executed Bollywood movie. Then those mindblowing scenes... be it the breakdown scene of Paro and Rudra separated by the glass, or Paro's nightmare and Rudra's attempt to calm her, or last night's filling of Paro's maang with blood. You can seriously sit down and write a chapter on how beautiful and meaningful these scenes are.

Usually you would see cliched scenes repeated in several shows. I have not seen these scenes in any other show or movie. So my guess is that they are original but then that could be because I don't really watch movies and television anymore...

In any case, we have to thank the entire RR team from the actors to the director, to the producer, to the writers, to the technicians.

I don't know the secret behind these scenes that you end up watching in awe but they are certainly one of a kind that you'd get to watch!

Well said dear. I agree with each and every word you had written down. RR is one of the best shows I have ever watched. Meaningful scenes, looks like a bollywood movie, the best cast and crew what else do we need. But most importantly no cliched scenes or meaningless scenes. Something which viewers hate to watch.
Awesome post.

RR does have a certain elegant darkness lurking underneath it that makes the scenes very unique..that SLB signature touch like something is there.. not exactly that of course.. but some aesthetic perfection that is rarely, if ever seen on TV..
I don't have the option of watching it on HD TV as we don't get the HD channel.. But i always get the HD videos for the same reason so that I can seriously enjoy it!! HD videps of this show gives a whole new level to it!! ❤️

lovely post Sonya!! 👏

I read through your post & an instant connect was there,as if you have given words to my thoughts. I've sat down yo watch different shows specially love stories, artificiality of those made me cringe with disgust & I couldn't continue with them. My favourite so far has been IPKKND(a masterpiece in Indian Telly history).BUT RangRasiya is another level altogether, the classic ethnic touch has made it a Saga, it's totally a class apart.I've a feeling that it will be another history making serial with no comparison.

Totally agree with each and every word u wrote here. Just like how u mentioned Oyster gave words to ur thoughts, u gave words to my thoughts about these two master pieces. So thanks to you and Oyster for beautifully putting out my feelings. When I see posts like these it makes it easy for me to say ditto as my lack of writing skills makes me constrained in beautifully putting out my thoughts as u guys did. So easy peasy to quote u and say same pinch 😃.

Completely agree...the rural setting, the backdrop of the love story that is taking place amidst guns and bloodbath...

The current haveli design set, a lot has gone into detailing and the lighting...I am not able to describe it aptly...but you can see the rays of the sun reflecting at times, the play of light, the scenic beauty of it all.

Cinematography at its best on TV if it that is what you call it.

The first few episodes were completely magical and still again these indoor scenes are on par.

Those Rajasthani wall paintings that distract me away from the scene at times and even the very colourful ethnic styles that each character adorns...gives it a very SLB feel.

if you look at the haveli its a replica of the one in Ram-leela. Those winding vines, columns, the gallery where Paro stood...everything.

And what can I say about Paro & Rudra. A ear-studded BSD officer in uniform on his phatphatiya! A Dare-Devil! The first ever on Indian TV.

She the quintessential village belle...a White Desert Rose...

Can it get better than this...naah...
