First of all, Ayaan was never related to Humeria. Gafoor and Shirin were not biological sister and brother. They just considered each other as siblings. So no blood connection between AYRA.

In some cultures marriage between cousins is considered a taboo. In some it is not. Marriage between blood relatives is not a good idea. This is basing it purely on genetics. Not just on ethics or morals etc. Because, if you marry someone who is a blood relative, then you are from the same gene pool. Which means that certain diseases or genetic problems that you may have in you're family, have a much higher chance of manifesting in your children. Marrying someone not related to you by blood means, you are mixing your gene pool with someone from a different gene pool. So the risks are considerably lower. So based on that alone, I think marriage between blood relatives is best avoided.

As for Haider and Zoya, they have always shared a "sibling" relationship. Now Haider is aware that Zoya is his real cousin sister. She does not remember Haider as she was a small child. But obviously subconsciously she does remember him. Hence she brought that cricket bat for him. I have several first cousins and also a bunch of second cousins. I am close to some of them and consider all of them to be people I share a siblings relationship with. I could never consider a romantic attachment with any of them. Of course this is now a moot point as I am married. But even if I was not, it is out of the question for me.

For Humeira-Ayaan, Humeira never saw Ayaan as a brother to begin with, but as a love interest. And Ayaan saw Humeira as a friend. For Haider and Zoya, they treated each other as brother-sister to begin with, especially Haider since he remembers Zoya, so since he's taken Zoya as his sister, that is the relationship they will choose to maintain.

Personally, I have a few male cousins I grew up with, whom I call and take as my brothers, and some others I'm not even in contact with, so I wouldn't see them as brothers. My sister too takes the same cousins that I do as brothers, and yet she'd married to another one of my cousins, whom obviously she did not see as a brother to begin with.

All about perspective here.

And ayan humeira were not related. Or are not related. Gaffur only considered shireen as like his sister. Ayan and humeira could have seej eachother as like bro and sis but they arent blood and they chose to see eachother differently.
