Chapter 38

"Raghu what are you doing?" I ask him as I see him outside my window. "Miss. Kaul, tu mujhe dekh ke khush nahi hai?" he asks."Khush hoon par itni raat ko aane ki kya zaroorat thi? Agar kissi ne tume dekh liya to?" I say. I look towards my door, glad that it was closed. "Waise tum yahan kar kya re ho?""Apni mangetar se milne aaya hoon, par lagta hai ki woh yahan nahi hai, main chalta hoon," he says and starts to climb down the ladder."Raghu, wapas aao," I say."Ab tu decide kar, main yahan rahon ya jao?" he asks."Tum andar aao," I say and help him into my room. As soon as he steps in, he pulls me close to him."Kya kar rahe ho, koi aa jayega," I say, blushing."Koi nahi aane wala Miss. Kaul, adhi raat ho gayi hai, sab so rahe hai," he says."Toh phir tum yahan kya kar rahe ho? Tume bhi toh sona chaiye," I reply."Mujhe apni Miss. Kaul ke bina neend nahi aai gi. Mujhse ab aur intezaar nahi hota," he says. Pushing him away, I say, "Intezaar toh karna padega. Shaadi karni hain na?" "Haan, par mujhe tujhse door rehna aacha nahi lagta.""Mujhe bhi tumse door rehna aacha nahi lagta."

"Toh chal, bhaag ke shaadi kar lete hain." I look at him shocked. "Raghu, humari shaadi kuch aur dino mein hone wali hain, itna bhi intezaar nahi kar sakte?""Kar sakta hoon aur karna chaata hoon mein bahut farak hota hain.""Tum bhi na." I walk towards the wall on the other and look at the picture of Raghu and I that was hanging there. It was from the night of Payal Di and Ishaan jeeju's wedding. I feel Raghu's arms come around me and I snuggle against his arm. "Raghu mujhe bhaag ke shaadi nahi karni hain, mujhe bas ek simple si shaadi chaiye," I say. "Main toh sirf mazaak kar raha tha. Jaisa tu chahe gi, waisa hi hoga," he replies. I smile and turn around. I put my arms around his neck."Waise, humare kitne baache honge?" Raghu asks. Kids? We haven't even gotten married and here he's already thinking about kids."Raghu, baache already?" I ask, hitting his shoulder. "Maar kyun rahi hain? Maine toh bas poocha tha," he says. "Shut up, tum jao ab," I say taking my hands off of him. As soon as I move away, he pulls me back."Naraaz hain?" he asks."Nahi, par tum jao nahi toh bahut bada paanga ho jayega," I say."Aacha theek hain, main ghar jaata hoon, kal raat ko humara sangeet hain na?" he asks. "Haan aura b tum jao," I say pushing him towards the window. "Ok jaa raha hoon," he says and steps back onto the ladder. He climbs down and yells, "I love you Antara." Yeda, what if someone wakes up. "Jao," I say. He smiles and walks to the gate, heading back to Piya's house where his family was staying.

The next morning, everyone was busy with the preparations for the sangeet. I was sitting in my room, waiting for Ranveer to leave so that I could call Antara. He kept going on and on about something that I had no interest in. "Ranveer, isn't Piya calling you? I swear I heard her voice," I say, not being able to handle it anymore."Oh, I'll be back," he says and leaves. Finally he left. I quickly turned on my phone and called Antara. It went straight to voicemail. I was pretty sure that aunty had gotten her to do some preparations for the sangeet but I really wanted to talk to her.

Seeing all the preperations around me gave me mixed feelings. I was happy that I was going to be married to Raghu but sad at the same time because I was going to be leaving my family. I smile on seeing my parents argue with the decorator. I would miss my family a lot.

"Chalo Antara, jaldi se tayaar ho jao, sangeet thodi der mein shuru hone wala hain," my mom says. I head up to my room and take out a purple and pink lengha. It was one that Raghu had chosen for me when we had gone shopping last week. "Antara," Piya says opening the door. "Come, I'll help you get ready." I quickly change and Piya quickly curls my hair. "You're looking gorgeous Antara, today Raghu's gonna go crazy over you," she says giggling

"Shut up Piya. Are they here yet?" I ask.

"I'll check," she says and goes out in the hall. "Antara, he's here, let's go, it's time for your sangeet." As we walk down, I see Raghu and everyone. I was really excited for tonight. It was going to be magical. "May I," Raghu says, offering me his hand when I reach the bottom of the stairs. I smile and put my hand in his. He leads me over to our seat and we sit down, waiting for the evening of performances to begin.

I look at Antara as we sit down. She was beautiful. I didn't want to take my eyes off of her. I was really lucky to have a girl like Antara in my life. My train of thoughts was broken when I heard Riya say something. I looked straight and saw her on the stage with Arjun. They were hosting the event tonight. "They look good together," Antara whispers to me. I look up again and say, "They do. Why don't we get them married too?" Antara giggles and turns her attention back to them.

The first performance came as a surprise. It was our parents. Raghu and I were both shocked but we started laughing. It was a cute performance. "Mujhe vishwaas nahi ho ra ki mom dad ne yeh kiya," I said. "I know, par woh humse bahut pyaar bhi toh karte hain na," he replies. I smile and turn my attention back. Piya, Ranveer, Riya and Arjun were doing their performance now. Near the end of it, they came down and got Raghu and I to come onto the stage. The four of them surrounded us as they circled around us. We smile at each other, glad that the day that we are both awaiting is not that far away.

A/N: Hope you all liked this update! I changed my mind and decided no runaway marriage for this story! I promise that it will be in another one, just not in this one! As you all know, this story is coming to it's end soon so enjoy the last few updates!
