Hi Sayanee, I liked "Lootere" for 4 reasons1. the story and its beautiful execution(being a short story it could be made into a 2 hr film, is amazing.) fabulous,2. the lead pair was amazing specially Sonakshi looked and acted as a Bengali very well.3. The touch of Indianness which made the film all the more endearing4. Coming from Balaji Telefilms it was really surprising and unexpected..

Hello Sukanya .. here you go with my questions
1. If there is One thing that you have learned or realized reading the epic .. what's that?? "Sometimes utter strangers can be your saviour and true friends and prove to be your own than your blood brothers"2. Five favorite mytho characters of yours Karna, Pitamah, Laxman, Sharmistha and Urmila3. Mytho character(/) you dislike most Yudhisthir4. If Mahabharata is made in Hollywood whom you would like to see playing karna Tom Cruise5. If you could question any character from Mahabharata whom you are gonna query n what will be question? I will ask Pitamah. and the question will be: why did you choose your father's wish above your duty towards the throne and the nation? why did you not think of the future?6. Is there some ideology that you believe in strongly Listen to every one but decision and its consequences can be only yours.7. A quotation or saying of any great man you strongly follow .Not exactly a quotation but part of apoem"Trumpet of a prophecy O wind,if winter comes, can spring be far behind?" P.B. shelley8. if you could change a part of History what would be that? I would have revealed Karna's mystery much before and made him the king of Hastinapur.9. If you could take part in battle of Kurukshetra what would be your role there? I will be the chakra of Karna's chariot and will never get stuck10. Why this is KARNA for whom your heart beats? He is the ultimate man. you look for any quality:heroism, compassion, loyalty, devotion and steadfastness and you find that in abundance in him11. what is your own definition of "Dharma"? "do what you think is right and just"12. On what quality of yours you are proud of? I am loyal and a very down to earth person. I am also a very happy-go-lucky fellow..

As you said that you love to read and I write critical appreciation of the books that you have read.So going ask you about some characters about our Epic Mahabharata, as almost every character in our epic is shaded. you have to define those characters in your wordsDefine Lord Of Love He came to spread love and compassion in a world which was fraught with jealousy and distraught.Define Parthsarathi He decided to pick and choose on whom he is going to bestow his blessings. God never plays favourites, but, he did.Define Devrata Devoted son, Upright and just. The greatest warrior of his time.Pitamah Bheesma He was not only a son but also a prince. He had greater responsibility. His devotion to his father is commendable but, it overshadowed his duty towards his nation and throne. Before taking the vow,he should have thought of the consequences.Satyavati Even though it is shown that Satyavati was a power hungry woman who blackmailed the King and made a deal with him, it was in fact, her father who had made King Shantanu succumb to his demands. But, I will at least give credit to her that after Vichitravirya she thought of Niyoga which saved the Kuru clan and also gave us Vidura.King Dritrastra It is said that the King was blessed with a boon of "Sat putra" but, it came to be"sata putra". the king was not only blind physically, but also blind due to his love for his son. But, I do not blame him altogether. He was elder and should have been the king had he been physically able. what he did not get, he wanted his son to get that. Any father would have wanted that.Suyodhan Eldest among Kauravs this boy was ambitious since childhood. That is expected because he was the prince and all princes will one day desire to ascend the throne. That is a legitimate wish and he cannot be held guilty of that. Syodhan was not evil, the way it was shown in the show. He did poison Bheem but, it was Bheem who always instigated him first.Duryadhan As he grew up, his desire knew no bounds. His uncle also added fuel to the fire. He looked up for allies who will stand with him in good stead. He did win some powerful allies in the process. He had the uncanny ability to judge people on the basis of their merits and not on their births, which surprisingly every one else lacked.Shakuni the Gandhar prince had only one ambition: the destructions of kuru clan. He had his reasons. His sister got a raw deal and every one will agree with that. He had no love for Duryodhan or for any one else. his single minded devotion was for his own plan and its skillful execution. a formidable dice player, he utilised his skill to the best of his abilities and the ill fated dice game was the precursor of the great war in which many got the opportunity to settle scores with their personal enemies.Vidur Son of a dasi, Vidura was the wisest of all. Humble not because of knowledge but also because of his low birth, Vidura got the blessings of Pitamah and was made the prime minister. but, given a chance, no one forgot to remind him of his low birth. He was wise and gave good advice to Dhritarastra, but, he was weak. He could not make people accept his decisions. I find him a wise but, helpless human being.Yagnaseni born of fire, she was supposed to be the fire brand daughter of King Drupad. Yagnaseni was the daughter any father would have been proud of. The king wanted a son who could defeat Drona and got her as a bonus. so there had to be a reason. and what a reason it was.Panchaali Beauty personified. Panchaali was acknowledged as the most beautiful lady and she was surrounded with the fragrance of blue lotus. The princes of Aryavarta always dreamt of getting her as his queen. She wanted to marry the best archer and got Arjuna. but fate had other plans and she got married to all five brothers. Though many consider her extremely fortunate I find her life full of agony and hardship.Kunti Adopted daughter of Kuntibhoja, Pritha was a charming princess. Devoted and docile, life for this young princess could have been quite easy going. she put to test a mantra given by Rishi Durvasa and I think, her misfortune started from that day. she did abandon young Karna, got blessed with three of her own and two of Madri, but, she never knew peace after that day. even though somewhere I feel sorry for this mother, who lost much more than she could ever gain, I can not forgive her for the treatment she meted out to Karna. Moreover, when Pandu had no objection to accept sons of other men/God as his own, she should have told him of Karna's existence. That was an opportunity through which she could have redeemed herself. Her last ditch effort to save the Pandavs from Karna's wrath also shows her in poor light. Her offer to Karna shows how little she did know about her first born.Gandhari Of all Kuru queens, I find her the strongest. she was one queen, who could let go of her visible world for the sake of her blind husband, no one else could have done. satyavati could not let go of her ego, Kunti could not let go of her fear, Madri could not let go of her jealousy, Draupadi could not let go of her desire for revenge. but, this queen without any expectation sacrificed the most. She had never objected to the raw deal she got in her marriage and I do know she had blessed Yudhisthir when he came to seek her blessings before the War. She had blessed him with" let truth and justice win" and there by giving her blessings for his victory. Which other queen did it? We see a mother secretly wishing her eldest born to spare her other sons, another goading her husbands to wage an all annihilating war. She was the only one who stood tall and unwavering. she is the ideal lady.Yudhithir(in spite of few major faults why he is still considered Dharmaraj)? sorry to say, I find him the weakest of all. Born of Lord Yama, he knew about "dharma" more than any one else yet he was weak in character. No man who stakes his wife in a dice game, is by any means an ideal human being. He was truthful, never told a lie(except when the pandavs had to kill Drona treacherously) devoted king, an ideal brother, but no he was not an ideal husband. Draupadi's misfortune started because of him.Sahadev wisest among Pandavs, Sahadev was bestowed with the amazing ability of understanding the animal languages. That is why he was in charge of the stables dirung their stay at King Virata(if my memory serves me right). Handsome and easy going, this brother always loved to bask in the glory of his more illustrious brothers.Vyas Dev Thankful to him for writing the history and let the coming generation know where to stop.Eklavya Poor Nishada boy made the terrible mistake of letting Guru Drona know of his archery skills. But, we get to see the Guru himself.Dronacharya Pompous, proud, egoistic and loud mouthed Guru Drona is the worst possible example of a teacher. Agree that he was skillful and had great knowledge, his overt affection for a certain prince shows him in poor light. A guru should be delighted if he is capable of training a number of disciples who can challenge any one on any given day. He did not and moreover, he refused to train some one because he was a "suta Boy". Preventing the suta boy and asking for Guru dakshina from a poor Nishada boy shows that he could go to any unjustified extent to safe guard the interest of a single prince.Parikshit Not much interested about Kuru clan after Pandavs left for their heavenly abode.
At Last our belovedVASUSENA Among all pigmies, he stood tall, lonely, abandoned since childhood, laughed and mocked at by all who could not even stand near him in comparison, he is the only one who got the worst possible treatment through a twisted fate. But, he is also the most powerful example of what a man can do if he has the confidence in him. He showed that he can make the world bend its head one day in front of his glory and acknowledge with an open mind, here is one who was born of the sun God and one who made his life one of greatest sacrifice in the name of loyalty and devotion. His death left every one devastated.
Take your time Suku but please answer all 😊
