My mother most beautiful woman in the world: Amitabh Bachchan

Mumbai: Megastar Amitabh Bachchan, who has been a huge inspiration for many, says his parents were his "greatest inspiration" and that he feels his mother was "the most beautiful woman".

"For me, inspiration comes from different fields. When it comes to my work, I look up to Dilip Kumar, Waheeda Rehman and many from the west," Amitabh said after launching film journalist Priyanka Sinha Jha's first book Supertraits of Superstars'.

"In my life, my father and my mother have been my greatest inspiration. I feel my mother is the most beautiful woman in the world. I feel fortunate to be born to them," he added.

Amitabh lost his father Harivansh Rai Bachchan in 2003 and his mother Teji Bachchan died in 2007.

The 71-year-old regularly writes his blog and shares his thoughts and views with his extended family.

Asked would he write an autobiography, he said: "No. If people want to perceive the craft then they are free to do so and I respect that, but I feel hesitant to do something like that."
