Thank you for your post.. 😊
First of all, I would stick to the original script.. To me the TRPs seem like the nemesis of serials.. I get the impression that even though the CVs had a tightly bound script with 200 episodes already written, they had altered it along the way due to the pressure of the Public & TRP... had they proceeded with their original script based on Othello it would have clicked majorly with the audience.. This is what happens when you try to please everyone you end up pleasing no one... we like to see something different.. some serials are meant for adult viewing so for those who complain that they cannot watch it with their young ones should know that not all content aired on TV is meant for audience of all ages.. what they need to understand is that there is a section who would like to view something different.. there was nothing gory or crude in this serial so not sure what the complaints were about...
there were many who did not like the montage of a gun pointed to a girl's head or where she was tied with a rope to the jeep.. but what we all seem to forget is that it was the original promos with such scenes that drew us to this serial.. somewhere along the way many moaned about it being too harsh for viewership... I just cannot understand this complaint.. everyone knew what they were getting into..
Nothing is still lost.. we could still salvage the serial... in fact it is not too boring or over the top... it is average.. bear in mind we cannot maintain the same momentum always.. to move the plot forward they have to build up certain characters..
I was a bit dissapointed after hearing that they were heading with the concept of a forced marriage between the two leads.. this is something I did not fancy ..having watched another serial with a similar concept i was not looking forward to another along the same line... the saving grace in this serial is the hero is more of a gentleman than a churl shown in the other.. I disliked the hero of the previous serial especially the way he treated the heroine.. the abuses he hurled and the physical treatment meted out to were all cruel.. In this serial, there is no excessive aggression. there is very minimal - the maximum I have seen is R dragging P or hold her hand tight with no bruising. Even if they show a bit of aggression that is justified because she is considered an offender against the state and we all know how they are treated in real life..
I like to keep the reel and real life separate thus finding logic in a fictional serial is futile.. I am okay with Maamisa's taunts .. i guess her one liners are extremely hilarious and rendered in perfect timing. I wonder why they did not show Takursa on the hunt for Paro.. had they kept that plot continuing on the side would have made the serial even more thrilling..
A few episodes aired this week did not have much of R but I attribute it to the fact it was because he was away on a short break...
I seldom watch SBS however, we see the forum littered with the ongoings of SBS discussed.. I wish they would title them as spoilers so that for those who dont want to know the future plot could tune off.. yes, they are revealing too much before the episode airs on TV which is also detrimental for the show .. when we know what is to come it somehow kills the excitement.. I hope the PH is listening and minimise these SBS videos... having catchy promos will increase the anticipation and viewership...
I love the cast, the presentation and the acting.. therefore, in that front we are just doing great... this serial has a lot of potential..
