an established show like MB and most importantly DD needed to be paired opp someone with an impactful screen presence(not necessarily good looks,stature etc) because everyone knew that whoever comes in will invariably be compared to VD/RK...and when expectations fall really short it leads to bashing,mocking,ridiculing etc. I watch the show on & off cos DD's still a part of it and as usual she's doing a great job but it seems she has got the responsibility of the show on her shoulders at present.
