It is one of the most challenging industries to work. You work your ass off and still the appreciation or acknowledgement you get is next to nothing.

And I did this work 12 years ago when it's was still very male dominated.

Kudos to these people for working so hard. It's not an easy career choice by any means. Actors have the easiest job when compared to the rest of the unit.

That's the best and the worst part too. This industry is very well paying but the pressures, the bashing and the criticism always outweighs the appreciation.

Good to know that you have had a stint with TV.😃

Good discussion, MKM, Sajni, NB and Guinea. Shows/films are team work and there are so many people who are working behind the camera as well to give us our daily entertainment. Their labour needs to be recognized and respected as well.

The more I see offscreen segments , the more I am convinced that it is prepostorous to ask shows to shut down because " their favourite character " is dying OR their favourite actor/ actress is leaving ...

What crap , if it effects you so much ...stop watching the show . Channels too shouldnot ever succumb to any fan pressure ...this whole thing is utter teenage nonsense.

Guinea

Ditto to everything...

So much effort over just one shot. The actors are even reminded of their lines repeatedly...chappal nikalo, panditji mantra pado...ghanti bajao...and every little detail taken into consideration...the props and what not...the jewelry, every piece of item on that set needs to be perfect and match the scenes and shot.

So many minds & hands give us that perfect shot...NT & RR team kuddos...

One more thing the set design of RR needs to be truly appreciated. The furniture, wall paintings, the color of the haveli, every little item of decor, the jhula...is just fabulous whilst keeping in mind the actual location and beauty of the place Rajasthan. Every time my eyes wander from the actors to whats placed behind on a table or wall.

They are trying to be as ethnic as possible, with their costume and jewelery. May it be the men or the women. Love it.

This needs to be shown on Nat Geo - How things Work!
