| While attractive models took to the ramp at a model hunt recently, what the audience did not witness was a bit of backstage drama. The show saw a starry lineup of judges including Dino Morea, Nandita Mahtani and Koena Mitra, which was hosted by Sajid Khan. Television actress Rakshanda Khan, Sajid's one-time girlfriend was also set to judge the show, till Sajid allegedly got her thrown out of it. Buzz had it that Sajid told event organiser Maureen Wadia that if Rakshanda was present as a judge, he would walk out and not host the show. Maureen, who faced this last minute dilemma, sent across a polite word to Rakshanda, asking her to leave. She did not want to cause any embarrassment for the actress. "Rakshanda and Sajid were a couple once upon a time, till they called it quits three years ago. They were genuinely fond of each other. The reason why they decided to separate is not known," revealed a source. The source added, "Sajid is still bitter about Rakshanda. Her presence among the panel of judges would only make him feel uncomfortable. Hence it was either him or Rakshanda on that show." Sajid and Rakshanda were unavailable for comment. Another source, who happens to be a close friend of Rakshanda and was present at the event said, "Yes she was there but she was not to be seen later. I wondered where she disappeared suddenly." When told about Sajid not wanting Rakshanda at the show the source said, "I did not know all this happened. I am feeling sorry for Rakshanda." While Rakshanda continues to act in Ekta Kapoor's Kyunki Saas Bhi Kabhi Bahu Thi, Sajid is all set to make his debut as a director with Sajid Nadiadwala's Hey Baby that stars Akshay Kumar and Vidya Balan in the lead. |
