Incomplete sentences, unfinished words can sometimes so beautifully complete emotions.
Paro's pause, and her loss of words, again slammed her devastation in Rudra. Pages of sermons couldn't have brought her loss home more forcefully. And every time she is unable to utter the words, the guilt mirrored in Rudra's eyes intensifies manifold.
She has nothing left, no dreams, no hopes, no desire for a fresh lease of life, nothing. Just a frightening vacuum. A barren expanse. There used to be dreams there, bashful, nervous, shy, the ones all girls have for their partners. Now,...nothing!! Her quiet words, exploding in pain. Her dreams buried on the boundary, in the hot unrelenting sand. Her simple dreams of a loving husband and a future with him, that included two sons...
And Rudra knows. It's not that he is insensitive to her loss, or not aware of the magnitude of his actions and consequences. Here is a man who has no illusions about how much she hates him, how she despises him. If possible he is more aware of his deeds and the price she has had to pay, even more so than her. And he keeps on reminding himself and her at every given opportunity, that he is such a monster. The reason for her ruination. No peace for the wicked!
Just felt for a moment, wished the day comes sooner when her big eyes brim with dreams again. Her face lights up with a smile of pure happiness. Her heart fills with shy dreams of a loving mate...Rudra?? It will be so interesting to see the destroyer, the man responsible for this vacuum, to fill her life again with various shades. So lovely to see him, the Jallad, give her a new life, better than she could have ever dreamt of. Something so beautiful, that she could have never hoped or prayed for.
And may be that's why in the pre cap we see him fulfilling that wish. Yes, its cruel, sadistic. But something tells me its not all mind games and pressure tactics. In some remote unheard corner of his heart, he wants her to have a brush with her dreams (wishful thinking??). Even if fake and momentary, he wants to give her a glimpse of a life she had hoped for. No, he is not in love. Far, far from it, but his sensitivity, his guilt, his initial attraction (and its very difficult to pin down this churned out emotion, to name it ), might be the invisible hand that does the pushing. And there will come a day, when the man will go to any lengths, to fulfill her tiniest desire.
