Jaya Bachchan with Bhai Gulzar

The wedding's done with. But the discussions will go on forever. No prizes for guessing that it's the guest list that will cause maximum heartburn for some time to come. Those who had the invite, versus those who had-not.

A glaring omission in the list was Gulzar. Considering Jaya Bachchan and Gulzar go back a long, long way, the industry is surprised that Jaya's Bhai (as she fondly calls him, has called him for years now) didn't receive the by now famous wedding card. Only a couple of years ago, while releasing Gulzar's handpicked collection of his songs, Mera Kuchh Samaan, Jaya had spoken about the special relationship she shares with Gulzar. "There's not a single day when I don't think of Bhai," she had said emotionally, on the occasion. So, did she forget to think of him on her son's wedding day?

Industry insiders know that the omission wasn't a slip of the mind. Obviously, the guest list had been carefully worked on for days, over much discussion and thought about who's important and who's not. So how did Gulzar remain out of it, when so many other filmmakers made it? Raj Kanwar, Ramgopal Varma, Ashutosh Gowarikar, Rituparno Ghosh, and so many others were there. honestly i really used to like her but dnt know why ever since abhi and ash's engagement she has become arrogant......god its only ash...whats there to be so arrogant about 😛 😛 😛

they didnt invite many ppl whom they consider their "family" and "very close friends"????... but wats the point of being such ppl, wen one cant even call them up for such memorable moments!!! 😕 wonder if this is their so called "greatness" 😕

ppl lyk diya mirza, tanisha(kajolz sister}, kajol and ajay and many more were there whom the bachchans have hardly ever been related wid as friends or even being termed as close friends... but those whom they actually talk about , and who r actually termed as their close friends, werent even their at the wedding..... that really shows sumthing!!! 😕
