Don't you all agree with this? They certainly have not inherited Kokila's assertive and aggressive genes. Look at them behaving so pathetically - Ahem did not utter a word when his beloved wife was thrown out of the house, nor did he make any effort all these years to look for her or even worry about her. He just turned into a workaholic and emotionally-challenged monster. Is it his way of punishing his mother? But he still behaves like a 'yes Mamma' boy who agrees to her preposterous suggestion of second marriage just to please her.

Then there is Kinjal - the once spirited (and conniving) girl is putting up with all the nonsense of Urmila. Even after so many years she hasn't made a definite and defining place for herself in that household - everything, including the purse-strings, is controlled bu that despicable Urmila. By the way, why is Dhaval compelled to live always with his aunt? When he was introduced in the story, he had just come from Mumbai - which indicates he had not always lived with the Shahs. but, coming back to Kinjal - I hate to see her so submissive. Please CVs, do something to resurrect these characters. Give them some brains and some guts.

Kokila blamed gopi for her daughters death and when she left I don't think she was bothered and didn't want gopi to comeback and what could he say in gopis defence because he too saw the incident the whole blame goes on koki ka it was her fault to blame gopi after all them years of trust gone in vain. I know I have gone of topic
Coming to kinjal I agree with you I think once kinwal tried to leave urmi house but urmi put up a naatak to stop them from going
