Part 9 :: Day 3 (Part 2)

Arnav dislodged himself from Khushi and sat on the bed beside her, taking in her sleeping peaceful face. Peaceful face? Is she really at peace after what she had asked for? She really wants him to leave his Di? How can she say that? How can his Khushi ask for something like this? His Khushi can never do that! She knows how much he loves his Di. She knows what his Di means to him. And Khushi can never ask him to leave his Di. How can she?

Arnav closed his eyes. He again asked the same question. How can she? And like someone had ONed a tape recorder, all his words started floating around him.

"Mujhe is duniya se kioi matlab nahi hai, meri asli duniya to aap ho!"

"Meri Di hai wo! Unhe kuch nahi hoga!! Main unhe kuch hone nahi dunga!! Chahe tum kuch bhi karlo!"

"Mai apni di ke liye kuch bhi kar sakta hoon, tum jaisi ladki se shaadi bhi. Aur wahi maine kiya."

"Ab bas intezaar kar raha hoon ki cheh mahine kab khatam ho aur di aur unka baccha safe ho jayen. Taki main apni zindagi se tumhe hamesha hamesah ke liye nikaal ke bahar fek doon."

Arnav's eyes jerked open, his heart thudding inside his chest. His red burning eyes looking at Khushi's sleeping face. How can she? His heart mocked him. He is asking,how can she? Wasn't he the one who had made her believe that his world only revolves around his Di and She has no place in his world? Wasn't he the one who had always said, loud and clear that the only thing matters for him is his Di, his Di's happiness? Wasn't he the one who told her, she has no place in his life, and it's his Di whom he loves that most? Wasn't he the one who told her that he had married her for his Di and will throw her out of his life after the completion of six months? Wasn't he?

She knows how much he loves his Di!

Yes! She knows how much he loves Di. But does she know how much he loves her? Had he ever made her believe that he loves her, with the same determination which he had always put while making her believe that he loves his Di and she means nothing to him? Had he? No! He had never done that! He had always made her believe that she means nothing to him and all he cares and loves is his Di.

Arnav held his face in his palm. How would he have done that? How? He was so caught up in his own past, betrayal and in his Di's love that he was unable to see anything. He was unable to see the innocence of his love, he had not even cared to ask for an explanation. Payal was right! She was right! How can Khushi love someone like him? How can she, when he had never return an troy of her emotion?

Whoever had said that love has the power to turn anyone into anything was right!

His love for his Di was so great that he was blinded by everything else. And Khushi's loves held so much power that it had turned her into an afraid and insecure person, and she had forgotten her initial self.

If she wants him to leave his Di then he will. He will show her that the place which she has in his heart cannot be taken by anyone! Not even his Di can get that place. And he will make her believe that!

Arnav got up from the bed,with a new belief and resolve shining in his eyes. He will move out with Khushi, but before that he needs to take care of few things.

Arnav knocked at the door, and stood there for the door to open.

"Chhote?" Anjali looked at her brother, unsure of what her brother is doing here at this early morning.

"Di, kuch baat karni hai aapse" Arnav replied.

Anjali nodded her head at him and allowed him in.

"Kya baat hai?" Anjali asked as she came and stood in front of Arnav.

Arnav lifted his head to look at his Di, little unsure of how to start.

"Di,...I ..I mean you saw how Khushi reacted to your presence.."

Anjali looked at her brother, confused.

"I mean Di, she is little insecure...I mean she...its not her fault Di...its all because of me...I had pushed her to the edge where she...she is this insecure...She...I mean,she wants me ...wants me to...to leave you..." Arnav closed his eyes unable to see the pain in his Di's eyes.

"Means she hates me." Anjali stated.

Arnav opened his eyes and looked in his Di's hurt eyes.He moved forward, wanting to clear that misunderstanding. He don't want anymore misunderstanding between them.

"It's not like that Di. Please try to understand. Khushi doesn't hate you, she is just insecure. She thinks I don't love her and all I love and care is ...is y...you" Arnav finished, his eyes not looking into his Di's.

"So,its all your fault, isn't it? She isn't liking my presence around her is because of you. But chhote tell me isn't this all because of me? Wasn't I the one for whom you did all this. So the sole cause of whatever happening in your life is ME!" Anjali looked straight in her brother's eyes.

Arnav went towards his Di and held her by her shoulder.

"Di, please, try to understand. Aap ki koi galati nahi hai. It's all because of me. I am the one who had put all this insecurities in her. You are at no fault Di. I am sorry, I am sorry for everything"

"The why am I feeling guilty, Chhote? Why? Had I asked for this favor from you?! Tell me! She is hating me? Why? Why, Chhote??!!" Anjali asked angrily, shaking her brother by his collar.

"What should I do, Di? Tell me?! Just tell me!!! What should I do?!!" Arnav shouted back.

Arnav closed his eyes to control himself. What is he to do now? What the hell is he suppose to do? He is trying, isn't he? What else can he do?

"Leave.."

Arnav opened his eyes to look at his Di.

"Di?"

"I said leave Chhote, go with Khushi and take care of her.I am sorry for the outburst"

Arnav went towards his Di and hugged her.

"I am sorry, Di. I am sorry for everything. Please forgive me this last time, I assure you that I will bring back our old Khushi...she doesn't hates you Di...she doesn't. It's just that...that she is insecure...I...I love you...I am sorry Di...I love you, you know that right?" Arnav desperately asked his Di.

Anjali hugged him back. Her heart crying for her Chhote.

"I am sorry, Chhote. I love you too. I know you love me. I love you. It's ok, I understand Khushi. You...you can move out with her, Chhote. And I know she will be alright soon. Don't worry about me. I will be fine...just...just take care of Khushi and yourself...Don't worry about anything else." Anjali assured him, running her fingers in his hair.

Arnav pulled away from the hug.

"Thank you, Di. Thanks for understanding..."

Anjali smiled at her brother.

"Hum nahi samjhenge to kaun samjhega?"

Arnav too smiled at her.

Arnav entered the room after asking Aakash to look after AR. He wants to spend the remaining 4 days of this week with Khushi. Just with her. And after that? He don't have a answer to that but he will try in this 4 days that he don't get to face that question. Never! Arnav closed the door and walked towards the bed, to his ladylove, who was still sleeping. He went towards her and sat beside her, taking in her innocent face.

"Khushi.." Arnav called softly, his fingers gracing the soft skin of her cheek.

Khushi slowly opened her eyes to look into HER Arnav ji.

"Subah ho gayi?" Khushi asked in her drowsy voice and saw Arnav ji nodding at her.

"Then can I pack my bags now?" Khushi asked, her voice may be drowsy but her mind fully awake.

Arnav swallowed the sudden lump and again nodded his head.

"And ...and...and yours..yours.."

Arnav bent over her face and stared in her eyes, the love floating in her eyes but coated with all the insecurities which he had made her believe. But Arnav Singh Raizada doesn't repeat his mistakes twice.

"And mine too" he kissed her cheek.

Khushi passed a hesitant smile at him and instantly Arnav's heart flooded with joy seeing her smiling face.

"Now get ready, we will leave after breakfast" Arnav said and moved back.

Khushi nodded her head and got up from the bed and left for bathroom, too eager to leave this house.

Arnav saw Khushi as she ate her breakfast. Like in the last two days, today also she refused to have breakfast with everyone. And so they were in their room, having their breakfast.

"Ab cahle?" Khushi stood in front of Arnav, who was seated on the recliner.

Arnav got up from the recliner and smiled at Khushi.

"If you are ready.." Arnav said and immediately got the reply.

"I am ready."

"Ok then come. I will ask HP to keep the bags in the car" Arnav caught her hand and started towards the exit.

Arnav saw his whole family standing in the hall. He had told them he is going out with Khushi to spend some alone time with her. He hadn't told the reason behind it. He knows they will understand Khushi, but still he don't want them to know the actual reason. Tightening his hold on Khushi's hand he moved towards them. Everyone was present there except his Di, and he knows why.

"Toh aap log taiyaar hain jaane ke liye?" Nani asked.

"Yes, Nani. We are leaving" Arnav replied.

"Khushi are you alright?" Payal moved towards her sister.

Khushi nodded her head.

"Khushi, do you really want to go with him?" Payal asked in a low voice, but audible enough for the person whom it was directed towards.

Arnav looked at Payal and then at Khushi, wanting to hear her answer.

"Yes" Khushi replied.

Payal looked at Khushi and nodded her head hesitantly.

Arnav smiled at Khushi's reply.

"Khushi, chale?" Arnav extended his hand towards Khushi.

Khushi looked at his extended hand and then at him. Slowly raising her hand, she placed on Arnav's.

Saying their good byes to everyone they left RM, to keep the first foundation of their relationship.

Khushi saw the car enter a place through the rusted gates. Her eyes roaming on her left side. What is this place? Everywhere she saw it was greenery. Khushi moved her head little outside through the window and inhaled deeply, the fresh air giving her an unknown peace. Khushi moved her head inside as he sensed the car stop.

Arnav came out of the car and crossing across, he came in front of Khushi and opened the door.

Khushi stepped outside and again her eyes wandered in her surrounding.

Arnav looked at Khushi, taking in the surrounding.

"Khushi, this is my farmhouse" Arnav said to Khushi.

"Farmhaouse?"

Arnav caught her hand and took her inside. He saw her eyes gleam as she laid her eyes on the vast area occupied with hundreds of rose bushes.

"Mumma's garden"

Khushi heard a low voice and turned to look at her right side.

"This is my Mamma's garden Khushi.." Arnav smiled at Khushi.

"Are we going to live here?" Khushi asked, not finding any house in the vicinity.

Arnav chuckled at her. Obviously they are not going to live in this garden and be the meal of fat mosquitoes. He tightened his hold on Khushi and pulled her to walk with him.

Khushi walked behind Arnav ji for few minutes and then she saw it. It was so beautiful. There stood, not so big wooden cottage surrounded by long trees from backside, open space from right and front, and a small gazebo to its left.

A small smile graced her lips.

"I hope you don't mind living here, Khushi. I know the house is small but.."

"It's beautiful.." sweet voice of Khushi interrupted him.

"Then, shall we?" Arnav asked.

And they started working towards their new house. Arnav smiled at himself. This is the place which connects him to his mother. Khushi may find her parents in stars above, but for him, this is the place where he feels his mother. His Mamma's garden.

And he knows his Mamma will help him bring his old Khushi back to him!

Arnav saw Raphael and Khushi seated on the stone bench, Khushi's head on his shoulder and Raphael's hand around her shoulder. Clenching his teeth, he was beside Raphael in no time and took Khushi in his arms.

"Wow...Don't shout Mr.Raizada, Khushi is asleep. What have I done to earn that glare?" Raphael passed a teasing smile.

"You.."

"No No Mr.Raizada. Cool down...I have no such feelings for your wife. She is like my..." Raphael paused for a moment before continuing again "hmm...like my friend, sister, daughter. Pick whichever word you liked. Because they are just that, words. Mere words. It's the feeling and emotions you share with the person hold meaning, not the name which you give to that relationship."

So, How was it? Hope this update explains why Khushi asked Arnav to leave his Di. More doubts are welcomed, I will try to explain in the update itself other than putting up a note, as one of the reader has advised me :)

One set of PMs will be delayed, readers! Inspite of me telling that if you no longer read my work and my PMs bothers you, then for GOD sake unbuddy me.
