I'm thoroughly disgusted after watching today's episode. I couldn't stop myself from making a post today. I know that if it bugs me this much I should probably not watch the show - and I fully intend on not watching it for sometime.
However - I just can't comprehend what world Samrat lives in. So basically according to him women have no value they are just baby making machines and a glorified chef and maid. A wife especially will not have any say, is not allowed to express her thoughts and views and god-forbid she speaks her mind. My question is why - what makes him think this is ok?
As I was watching the episode - and Urmi and Samrat's scene all I could think was why doesn't she scream at him and tell him to STFU. He married her - he didn't buy her. She is a person and if he's going to teach her about her "Duties" and "Responsibilities" of a wife - what are his responsibilities as a husband? Keeping her in his house, using her for sex and giving her 3 meals a day is not the beginning and end of his duties.
Urmi needs to stand up for herself, she needs to scream back at him and put him in his place. If he kicked her out of the room - good that she's going back coz its her room too but in addition to that she needs to not take care of him. Stop fawning over him, handing him his things etc - she needs to make him feel that until he learns to respect her - she's not going to respect him.
Wake up Urmi and walk out. Put the bas***d in his place and give him a taste of his own medicine.
What are CVs trying to show/prove? I'm a little confused on the message here - if the concept of the show is to say that a girl comes to her in laws with a lot of hopes and desires and reality is different becoz she and her husband are 2 different ppl - they don't need to show him as a monster - they could show a mature progressive story of 2 very different individuals bound by matrimony and how they work it out - grow together or apart - both are fair.
By showing him as a monster - im not sure what the idea is - she's a good wife who took as much as she could and then broke down/got stronger/walked out... I just don't get why they need to show him as a monster.
