It was a complicated world,that is what a young Khushi Gupta has often heard from people in her surroundings.Though she could never decipher the reasons people termed life like as they did.Her life had been a smooth journey,she was the pampered princess of her parents and the kid sister of her elder brother.

Growing under their sheltered and protective wings,she never had to worry about anything but amidst all the love and care,there was always the nagging feeling in her subconscious.And she has finally found all her answer in one name ARNAV.

She has started seening life with a whole new dimension after meeting him.Each day spent in her presence bought a new revelation as she went on to become a whole new person.Khushi Gupta found the Khushi hidden inside her. Arnav has known her better than she knew herself.He has seen something,she has failed to recognise.

In the whole time of being together,their day didn't ended albeit, he had mentioned it once.Stubborn as she was,she has continuously relented but he was not less than a Devil himself.Mr Raizada had to have the last word as he has demanded her professional writing debue as the only thing before leaving.

He had taken the next flight to USA preponing his arrival.They had thought about moving together there after their marriage but life seldom turn out the way,you want it to be.Khushi admitted that it was his belief and love that made her strong enough to bear the ever increasing pain of their separation.

Hence,she submerged herself completely in fulfilling his dream.She opted out of her majors in business and got herself enrolled in the literature course taking slow but definite steps each day towards her destination on becoming a writer .Her each word an ode to her inspiration.

The praises,the book being acclaimed as best seller,the overwhelming reviews were all meaningless if he was not there to share it with her.She wouldn't have if not for him,her life was barren as desert without him.Her home that has been the best place which existed on earth was Now only an abode where she lived.

Her whole existence was wrapped around one person who resided in her every thought.She couldn't relive the memories of her fun filled and secured childhood,without thinking about his lonely one one.She was unable to rejoice in any of their family gatherings knowing he was all alone far away.

Where she always has had her every wish fulfilled her Arnav has never had anyone to demand or throw tantrums like normal children.She hadn't known such pain until she has met him and once she has felt it,vowed to herself to become his family,life has brutally snatched that opportunity away from her.

And since then there hasn't been a single contact between them neither through calls,messages or emails. All their contact details remained same but neither ever made a move to as much as hear the voice of the other nomatter how grave that temptation may have been at various point of time in their life.

The unspoken words that has stretched between them that night when their eyes had done the major talking,has laid the foundation of it.Arnav has left without any fight not because he didn't believed in them.He has left because he firmly believed that their love was strong enough to overcome all the trails and tests destiny was putting them through.He hadn't wanted anyone to disgrace the love they worshipped.

The love that was selfless and eternal,that didn't needed any of the manmade sources to communicate.Arnav and Khushi were one entity,they conversed through heartbeats,whispered words of love in the air,staring at the moon and stars knowing their other half was breathing the same air as them.

NEW YORK AIRPORT

Arnav was walking towards the cabin crew,surveying the essentials when his co pilot sneezed loudly grasping everyone's attention and the words left Arnav's mouth on its own.

"Someone is remembering you".

"You believe in all this Captain?".Asked his shocked assistant hearing such a sentence from his ever professional senior.

Arnav though subtly aware of all the curious glances directed at him spoke solemnly.

"I didn't until someone told me about it years ago".Arnav spoke solemnly answering his query,equally aware and uncaring about all the curious glances on him.Instructing everyone to get back to their work,he couldn't help but let his lips curve into a slight smirk as the memory resurfaced.What all things Love makes you do,he mused fondly.

FLASHBACK

They were sitting lesuirely in the armchairs,they have bought earlier this week.It was a bright sunny afternoon in Delhi but a certain Khushi Gupta didn't reciprocated the ideas of the man sitting besides her who by looks of it,was enjoying her condition as she went on sneezing incessantly.

"116".

She heard him say again,What was he upto?.She thought managing a feeble "Ar"nav " out of her choked throat.

"117".Arnav continued unaffected by her call.

"Ar"nav.What a-r-e you doin---g?".Khushi finally completed her sentence.

"Here".Arnav said as he passed her new box of tissues as Khushi blowed her nose into the last one of the previous one.

"118,119,120".

Finally understanding what he was upto,Khushi lost her cool,her never ending sneezing not helping either as she bit out. "Arnav,here I am so sick and you are making fun of me?."

"EXCUSE ME!!!".Arnav asked incredously at her remark,his voice rising as well.

"You were the one who ate the weird combination of Gulab Jamun with Icecream last evening inspite of my refusals in such a bad weather and then when I told you to be at home and rest.you emotionally blackmailed me knowing very well that I won't be able to say no to you.You have sneezed 120 times in past half an hour and I am making fun of you RIGHT".

Khushi saw his distraught face and felt guilty on her outburst.Thats what you get of not listening to him but what could she do.She cannot bear his indiffernence,he hasn't spoken a word to her since she has come except literally dodging the tasteless medicines down her throat and counting how many times she sneezed.

"I insisted because its Friday today and since next two days is weekend,I would only get to see you on Monday.3 days are too long Arnav".Khushi spoke in a low whisper as her eyes glistened with unshed tears.

Arnav pulled her close in one swift motion,preventing the tears to spill from her beautiful eyes,as he caressed her face lovingly understanding her emotions.In the growing worry about her health,he has forgotten about the detail that they couldn't see each on weekends owing to the regular off in their respective colleges.

After some moments of amiable silence,Khushi cleared her throat trying to lighten his somber mood.

"You do know the saying that when you sneeze,it means someone is remembering you".

"Who says that?".Arnav asked her incredously but Khushi was Khushi as she put on her absolute serious expressions making him grin at her and tweak her beetroot red nose.

"Only you could come up with such a weird logic Khushi,only you".

"Weird,Crazy,mad or anything.I am all yours Ant'I?".she asked adorably staring right into those deep eyes in which she could clearly see her reflection.

"Forever and I won't have you any otherway because I absolutely love this weird,illogical,cute and downright crazy woman".And before his cute lazybump got all emotional he added,"Besides,I am here right for all the logical thinking,you don't need to give your tiny brain so much trouble".

His last statement got him a punch in reflex as they both erupted into laughter.Suddenly,Khushi being aware of how close he was holding her,said urgently.

"Arnav move away,its communicable,you will catch cold too".

But he only pulled her closer,his arms encasing her in his safety,as he spoke softly like it was their secret,which no one else should hear.

"What was that you told me the other day,when we went for that movie of your choice,IN SICKNESS AND HEALTH REMEMBER".

Khushi pulled out a little,still in his hold to look at him as she spoke teasingly.

"Am I dreaming,Arnav Singh Raizada and quoting,Mushy much?".

He pinched her in response and said with utmost honesty."Mushy or what I don't know but when it comes to you everything gets imprinted right here".He finished pointing towards his heart as Khushi scooted closer,her head tucked under his, listening to their synchronised heartbeats.

FLASHBACK ENDS

Khushi was so lost in the beautiful memories of the happiest moments of her life that she didn't even realised,when her mother came and sat besides her on the swing.Her mother put a hand on her shoulder,shaking her a bit making Khushi jerk out of her thoughts.

Khushi instantly composed herself,bunching the paper in her other hand covering it with the shawl,she was wearing as she realised she had company before turning to face her mother.

"Khushi,I wanted to talk to you".Vandana Gupta,her mother drawled hesitantly as she continued.

"There is an marriage proposal.The guy is a hotelier and owns a chain of seven start hotels across the country.He hails from a renowned family and we have known them over all these years and --".

Khushi stood up from the swing abruptly,knowing where it was all leading and said firmly.

"Why are you even bringing it up Maa,when you already know the answer?".

Khushi tried to make a move towards her room when her mother stood up too as she directed her questions towards her.

"What answer Khushi?.You are not getting any younger.We want to see you settled,in your own home with your kids running around.You are a renowned author too now,its high time you get settled".

Her mother paused to take a deep breath but seeing that there wasn't as much as movement in Khushi's stance or expressions,she cupped her face and asked.

"What has happened to you Khushi?.Remember how you used to get your dolls dressed up in brides and ask me when would the day will come when you will get married and look at you.Now,you don't even react to this word".

Khushi just let out a wry smile and answered.

"Maa we have already had this discussion before.You and Dad took a decision and we accepted it.Without any questions,without any arguments,we went our separate ways respecting your wishes but it doesn't imply that Ill get married to someone else.Forget marriage,the thought of any other man near me makes me cringe.I belong to Arnav heart,body and soul forever and I am going to be his till my last breath".

Her mother getting highly infuriating with her constant indigination,let out harshly.

"WE.In which bubble you are living Khushi.Its been 5 years,5 long years,you really think Arnav would still be waiting for you.living in the hope that you both will be together someday.With his profession and the perks of it,you actually believe that he wouldn't have any relation with any girl".

Her mother's words shot a thousand arrows to her heart.She could bare anything but no one has the right to speak ill about Arnav.Not even her own mother nor anyone else.If need be,she will fight the world for him.If it would have been for her,she would have heard silently but hearing crude remarks about her Arnav,Khushi couldn't stand still and keep quiet as she started speaking,her irrevocable love and trust shining in her every word.

"I love you and Dad way too much to ever go against your wishes but it was Arnav who took this decision.He never wanted me to go through the same pain,he has gone through.I would have still been content somewhere,had you given him a chance,had you given us a chance.But you both held something against him that wasn't even in his hands".

Khushi paused as she graced her ring,trying to emanate courage from it.

"It wasn't his fault that he was orphaned at the mere age of 12.It wasn't fair to a child who was made bereft of his parent's presence so early in his life ,it wasn't right that he had to go through all the hardships alone in his life and its certainly not feasible that he still has to be judged because of it".

"And regarding what you said about him having a relation.I can bet it with my life Maa that the man has never ever looked at any other woman other than me.Inspite of being aware of the intensity of my feelings solidified with my reactions to his slightest of touch,never once tried to cross any boundaries.And you know why,because he respected me and our love more than anything to ever disgrace mine or his beliefs in any spur of a moment.Thats how pure his love is".

Khushi finished and reached for as she tried hard to swallow the painful lump.She wouldn't breakdown in front of anyone,standing at hem of stairs and whispered,turning her face sideways with the convicted voice.

"You don't know my Arnav Maa,he is the best person I have ever come across but then again,had you known him,we wouldn t be having this conversation today.The physical distance that is spread between us is invisible because we are always connected through our hearts".

With her last words,Khushi ran towards her room finding the solace in his memories leaving her mother at the vast terrace with her daughter's words ringing aloud in her ears as she sat there pondering some home truths flashing at her with vengenance.
