I wanted to thank CVs yet again for showing continuous progress in Jodha's character. I kind of see why CVs spend so much time in Jodha hating Jalal, as now we are able to appreciate the change in Jodha's personality even more. The thing that did not go well with me was the abrupt first scene where Jalal is watches Jodha sleeping. There was so much potential in that scene, turned out to be almost flat.
It was so clear today that Ruqu wants to turn her face off from reality. She literally did that when she caught Jalal stare at sleeping Jodha. She had also noticed in Salim Chisthi's place that Jalal was lost in Jodha's beauty. It becomes even more obvious that Ruqu refuses to face reality when she decides to not question Jalal, as to what he was doing in the dark outside staring at Jodha. She is too scared to question Jalal, in fear of what might come. She is not ready to find out from Jalal that he is in love or has discovered a heart that beats for Jodha. She again notices on their return to Agra how Jalal and Jodha are silently smiling at each other. But, when MA pays Ruqu a visit she puts up a very confident brave front. Ruqu did not want MA to realize what her zehen has realized about JaJo. So Ruqu tries to convince MA that she succeeded in keeping the two apart. Some other person might have bought that story. But our clever MA is no fool, she without any hesitation spells out Ruqu's zehen ki baat out loud, on her face. MA was right that she succeeded in keeping their bodies apart by making Jodha sleep outside. But, she could not keep Jalal's soul from thinking about Jodha or the desire to be with Jodha. Neither could she stop herself from doing things that normally would be outright 'NO' as she did not want Jodha to succeed. MA correctly pointed out she was acting like a puppet in trying to control JaJo bonding. The only way Ruqu will accept what she is seeing/feeling is when Jalal tells her clearly about his changed feelings. Last time after JaJo first lunch date Jalal had visited Ruqu and informed her about his new friend Jodha. I hope this time also Jalal does not delay this talk with Ruqu just because he is not completely sure about Jodha's feelings. As this is not only damaging his relationship with Ruqu, but is also letting Ruqu create problems between him and Jodha.
PS was looking so beautiful getting ready as a begum. I could see the extra glow of love on Jodha's face throughout the episode, or should I say for the past few episodes. This same noor is visible on Jalal's face as well. Just yesterday I was thinking its been so long since we saw Jalal bathing in the tub. Mere zehen ki baat CVs ne sunli, it was so good to Jalal enjoy his new found feelings. He was so lost in thoughts and smiling at every small little thing Jodha had done for him. I was dreading Ruqu's loud steps throwing tantrums barging in. So, it felt so nice that Jalal could just relax and glow in Jodha's memory. The parallel scene of Jodha recollecting her time spent with Jalal was perfect. Even she only thought of the things Jalal did for her or the words that Jalal said in her praise. I had mentioned in my post yesterday that Jodha kind of confessed her feelings with Jalal. Today, Jalal remembered her confession - where Jodha says I am okay with your wish and when he asks for confirmation that did she really get it, Jodha shyly runs away from there. I was wondering if he would think about the dhakka yet again after thinking about such fond memories of Jodha, but he does not. That gives me some hope that Jalal might not need the proof of the letter as long as Jodha continues to give strong signals about her feelings. It is not going to be easy for them anymore. There are quite a few people who do not want them together and will use every opportunity to create problems between them. What fun is a love story if its simple and without any problems? The reason we are able to enjoy the love story is because inspite of so many problems, the love birds keep coming out even more stronger and closer. I would like Jalal to rethink based on his understanding of Jodha during the Yatra about the dhakka night. Jalal did repeatedly ask Jodha about why she gave him the dhakka after inviting him. But, he has not yet thought the other way round - is Jodha he has come to know now, capable of inviting him and then shoving him out? I would like Jodha to also think why does Jalal keep saying that she invited him? I would so like the two to figure this out and not rely on any proof of the letter. If their feelings are strong and their love is genuine/pure, then it needs no proof. There are going to be many more challenges laid out in their path, as the folks surrounding them are very evil. But, if after every challenge they would require proof to keep faith in the other person - I dont think the relationship will last long. In precap I felt Jalal attempts another way to keep faith in Jodha rather than relying on solving the love letter mystery.
Jodha for the first time accepts that her perspective about Jalal was wrong. She happily admits that he is a very good king and human being. How I would have liked Jalal to walk in and listen to some of these praises. She finally gets it that its not easy to be a king, at times they have to take tough stands. How contrasting is this Jodha who told Jalal in Amer that she pities his life. Jodha registered every small act of Jalal the husband and Jalal the king during the trip. She saw him in agony when his people were unhappy. She saw his concern for her health, safety and well being. Jodha in the past had come with so much hatred on that forceful marriage that she failed to see any of Jalal's goodness, not saying it was entirely her fault. Jalal healed every wound of Jodha that was caused by him before or after marriage. No wonder today she is ready to heal his wounds. No wonder today she told Moti that Jalal was not rude to her at all, infact he stayed calm even when she was mean to him. Seriously Jodha?😕 I do not recall any taunt from your side, but do remember Jalal constantly taunting you about the dhakka. Jalal kept looking at Jodha when he talked about the yatra, hinting clearly that the happiness he felt in the yatra was because of her. Jodha does not shy away from it either, she openly admits that it was a pleasure to take care of Jalal. The silent acknowledgement of Jodha before leaving Jalal via her eyes, and Jalal responding to it also via his eyes was so well done. I keep coming back to - is love confession even needed?
Hamida and Agra old lady gang are getting anxious for Salim. Seriously CVs, kya salim chisti aur shaguni bai kum hai jo aapne Hamida and gang ko bhi prediction mein laga diya. BTW, Salima has also joined the gang. One could sense Hamaida's impatience in wanting a grandchild. She is like us wondering, how many more days before these two unite as one. So, Hamida puts her detective Salima to get every news about how close JaJo are in giving her a grandson. That's great tactic btw, that will give us viewers a clearer picture about Jodha's feelings. On top of it Salima can act like a love guru and messenger - you know let Jalal know about Jodha's feelings. Its so good to have these love angels surrounding JaJo, the ones who can atleast counter some of the negative effects of vultures in Agra. Yet again Jodha's glow and gentle praises for Jalal give away Hamida more hints on improving relationship between the two. Hamida was worried about the two quarrelling before the trip and what a relief it must be to see them so happy. Hamida also got a chance to see the glaring contrast between her two bahoos, she saw Ruqu complaining about being aam and Jodha glowing for the same reason.
Precap: Jalal seems to have forgotten about the dhakka night to some extent. Or, he has realized that his repeated comment on Dhakka night is not getting him anywhere. You see he is eager and ready to take this relationship forward. He decides to get direct by asking Jodha to express her feelings about him. Oh Jodha, this is your opportunity to clear the Dhakka wound. Please answer it as directly as it was asked by Jalal, do not give him another opportunity to tell you that its hard to understand woman.
