The great Indian TV family Table etiquette

'The family that eats together, fights together."

1. The table should be large, scratch that enormous and should be able to seat a minimum of 14 people.

2. Women should never eat their meal with the rest of the family, especially if they are daughters in law. Whereas mothers in law and daughter are exempt from any such etiquette.

3. Meals cooked should always be carb and fat heavy including breakfast. Cereals and porridge are boring.

4. A minimum of 5 different dishes will need to be made depending on tastes of the people in the house. One dish for all is an ideology that is shunned.

5. Daughters in law should serve the rest of the family and wait around them aimlessly.

6. All important discussions especially those capable of spoiling people's meal time should be discussed at the dining table. You sould not discuss such issues in the privacy of your room.
Privacy be damned.

7. You must not wait until the meal is over to bring up a controversial topic of discussion. In fact you must start at the beginning so that no one eats or completes their meal.

8. You must always bring up unresolved issues and conflicts at the table and use seasoning ingredients like salt and sugar as a pawn to insult, snub and mock at others.

9. At no point should the men ever make an attempt to stop the argument. They should just focus on their dal battis.

10. The more the family eats and fights together, the more they are likely to share lots and lots of love and sing Hum saath saath hain.

Please feel free to add yours.

One more:
There shall be at least one male member turning down roti/rice/dal/veg, etc because he 'is not hungry' and shall be reprimanded by his love interest that to reject the said serving is 'apmaan of ann'.

Despite the vast quantities of food made for the great family meal, no one actually gets to eat anything ... ever!

Added some more:
If should be noted carefully that if the same ''insult of food/ ann " is preached by other less chase woman such as mistress/nauch girl , it would be immediately shrugged off by the protagonist who would get up immediately inspite of her fervent request, where as a mere admonish from the would-be love interest would send him firmly back to his seat, and munching food indulgently.
