Part 12
"I want to adopt her"
"Y-You want to a-adopt her?" Ms.Kapoor confirmed,a bit confused.Arnav thought for a few seconds and then shook his head "Actually that came out wrong.Let me rephrase,I want to marry her"
Ms.Kapoor widened her eyes "What" she gasped "B-but you barely know her..I mean-"
"Yes I know but I'll get to know her within time" Ms.Kapoor slowly nodded "By the way,why s Khushi staying here? She is over 18 years of age"
"Well actually Khushi has grown a strong bond with the children,she just didn't want to leave" Ms.Kapoor answered "She and the children are always up to some kind of mischief"
Arnav gave a small smile "Can I talk to her?"
"Of course"
Arnav walked up to Khushi who was totally unaware of his presence until he tapped her on the shoulder "May I talk to you?" he asked politely.
Khushi nodded and gave the book to the children to read while she was gone.As Arnav walked with Khushi in the garden,he couldn't help but glance at her every few seconds.Khushi stopped walking and looked at him "Um...you wanted to talk to me"
Arnav nodded and faced her "Khushi..my name is Arnav Singh Raizada.Um,I want to...marry you"
Khushi widened her eyes and stared at him "Um..I-I think I heard you wrong-"
"No" said Arnav "You heard correctly"
"But I don't even know you" Khushi objected.
"We have our whole lives for that" Arnav said.He looked at her worried and confused expression "I know you must be confused and having mixed emotions but I'll be your family from now on"
"Why do you want to marry me?" she suddenly asked.
"Well...don't you want a family of your own?"
Khushi thought about it and nodded "Okay..but are we going to marry immediately?"
Arnav shook his head "No..let's get some time to get to know each other"
Khushi hesitantly agreed.She didn't know why but she trusted him a lot.It felt like a natural feeling.It was like something inside her was telling her he would never hurt her and keep her safe.

Khushi sadly bid goodbye to the children and Ms.Kapoor.She left with Arnav and smiled at the gentleness he treated her with.They arrived at his mansion at night and Khushi was in awe.It was beautiful.Arnav held Khushi's hand and led her inside.He showed her around.After he led Khushi to her bedroom "I have gotten some clothes for you which are in the closet" he informed "The bathroom's next to it"
"Thank you" Khushi said.
Arnav nodded and left.

Khushi squealed as she dipped into the soft mattress "Arnav!" she nearly yelled.
The door burst open "What happened?" asked Arnav who seemed a bit worried.
Khushi tried to get up but failed miserably,letting the mattress devour her.Arnav walked up to Khushi and helped her sit up "Thank you" thanked Khushi.
Arnav nodded.Khushi looked like she wanted to say something so Arnav asked her "What do you want to say?"
Khushi hesitated and then shook her head.Arnav nodded thinking she might tell him later.

Arnav was working on his laptop when he heard Khushi's voice "Arnav" she called out to him from the entrance of his room.
Arnav immediately gave her his attention "Yes Khushi..Do you need anything?"
"Um" Khushi looked hesitant "Can you sleep with me?"
Arnav widened her eyes and stared at her "W-What?"
"Can you sleep with me?" she asked again with a bit more hesitation "Um...I c-can't sleep at n-night without anybody s-sleeping next to me"
"What do you mean?" Arnav asked standing up and walking towards her.
"Well...you see..um if somebody doesn't sleep next to me..I would get these strange dreams..."
"Strange dreams" Arnav repeated.
"Yeah..it's just weird..I can't really explain it"
Arnav nodded 'Is it possible she might have the same dreams as me?' wondered Arnav.He held Khushi's hand and led her back to her bedroom.He waited until she lay in her bed comfortably but he didn't know what to do next.Should he lay next to her? Probably not.Khushi stared at Arnav.Arnav looked at her "Um...I'll sit right here" he said,sitting on the edge of the bed.
"Can you please sleep with me?" Khushi asked so innocently Arnav doubted if she was 25 years old.
He hesitated.Seeing her innocent face,he decided and finally lay down on the soft bed next to her.Khushi smiled and immediately snuggled into him much to Arnav's surprise.He gulped when he felt her small hands grip his shirt.Feeling her breath against his slightly open shirt,he tried to relax.He didn't know why he felt so familiar with her.Unknowingly,he wrapped his arms around her.A few minutes later when he was sure she was asleep,he was about to get up but Khushi's hand was fisted around his collar tightly making it impossible.Arnav lay down next to her after a few failed tries.He glanced at her innocent face and slowly closed his eyes to have the first complete night of sleep of his life...
