No dialogues, but very expressive. Of course, blame it all on the dupatta!

If Rudra were ever asked what the greatest insult in the world was, he'd probably say Coward!'
And then he'd silently dare you to call him that with one hand on his revolver holster.
At the moment however, Rudra was unabashedly feigning fatigue to hide away from the rest of the family.
Cowardice was apparently very subjective.
And if you pointed this out to him, he would inform you in a biting tone that he was indeed tired of dealing with his family's exhausting combination of concern, curiosity, thinly veiled barbs, and molly-coddling. He was not an invalid, damn it!
Although he'd lived in near solitary confinement over the past month, it was the peace and quiet of his own room that he craved. And answers.
But to his annoyance, the only one who could provide answers had been assiduously avoiding him since lunch time.
Rudra had showered, shaved, dressed his wounds, and should ideally have been taking a nap, but sleep was completely out of the question until a certain orange-clad figure made its reappearance in his room.
Rudra prowled around his room impatiently. She would have to come here sooner or later.
Soon enough, the door opened a crack and she slipped into the room like a splash of sunshine.
Rudra had kept a tight leash on his tongue. Irritation and a desperate longing warred in his veins, and he had no idea what he'd end up saying if he opened his mouth. And so he waited for her to come to him, his stance impassive.
She was nervous. He could tell by the way she pleated and unpleated the edge of her dupatta.
"Woh... I know you had asked me to leave before you came back, and I was going to as well, but then you were declared missing, and how could I? Bapusa would have been devastated, and Kakasa would have been so hurt as well, not to mention Sunehri. Kakisa needed my help too. How could I leave them and go? But I'll go now-- as soon as you want me to. But-- I've been thinking about it ever since-- what do we possibly tell everyone?"
The words came thick and fast. Rudra had to bend his head closer to catch all of it, and it was doubtful that he had.
But whatever he understood seemed to put him in a better mood than he'd been in since his arrival.
Parvati looked up expectantly, her fingers stilling in their task as she caught sight of the unfathomable gentleness in his eyes.
"Nothing."
"What?"
"We say nothing. You can't possibly leave now when I'm unwell and everyone needs you. What would your Bapusa and Sunehri think?"
Parvati studied his face with its familiar scars and rugged lines and forbidding expression--a slow comprehension dawning in her eyes. The frown faded from her forehead and the corners of her mouth tilted upwards in a barely perceptible smile.
"You're right. I would hate to disappoint Sunehri."
