Sonam Kapoor a part of Shoojit Sircar's Piku with AB and Irrfan?

Irrfan confirmed the news that Amitabh Bachchan and he will team up in Shoojit Sircar's project titled Piku. "Yes, I am doing Shoojit's film with Amitabh Bachchan, and we should start shooting some time this year as the dates are being worked out," said the actor from Shimla where he is shooting for a still untitled film that he is co-producing. The film is being directed by Nishikant Kamat.

Though there were reports about Parineeti being in Piku, the news is that talks are on with Sonam Kapoor and she's most likely do the film. Kapoor has an interesting bouquet of films lined up besides her home production, the remake of Khubsoorat. There is Sooraj Barjatya's film with Salman Khan, Arbaaz Khan Productions' Dolly Ki Doli and of course the upcoming Bewakoofiyaan. When asked Sircar if the female lead of the film has been confirmed, the director said, "Not yet."

If sonam signs this movie she is officially going to take over deepikas. No.1 position. 2 movies with biggest khans blockbusters and even performance oriented movie like peku where she can even prove her acting powesses.

Sonam can't possibly be in all these films. Its funny that both DP and Sonam are getting recognition after oh so many years.

The fact that Parineeti and Deeps r not doing the film is saying the filmn is not gonna revolve around the girls character otherwise why wud parineeti leave it..like how she said she is busy i don think its that she.will leave a film wid AB

So now sonam will be part of all those movies that deepika was approached to play the role...

whats with the competition b/w this two ladies again...I am surprised

but I am happy that sonam is heading towards A-list league
