Star Plus continues to lead in UK

Star Plus UK is rejoicing today after garnering huge viewership numbers for shows that generally bring in lower ratings usually. The bad weather in the UK has resulted in good news for the channel.

BizAsia can exclusively reveal that Diya Aur Baati Hum' got the biggest ever viewership last night with 314,600 viewers at 21:00 - peaking at 343,600 viewers. A record high! This was followed by Pyar Ka Dard Hai' with a massive 291,300 viewers at 22:00 and SaraswatiChandra' next with 269,900 viewers.

The surprises came in at 22:30 with Veera' getting the biggest ever audience with 265,100 viewers, which usually hovers around 150,000 viewers on a regular night. Yeh Hai Mohabbatein' also brought in the biggest ever audience for the 23:00 slot for a UK Asian TV channel. The fiction got 248,700 viewers - surprising many with such a huge audience for the late timeslot. On a typical night, Yeh Hai Mohabbatein' would draw in half of that audience.
